Adopted novel Chapter 54

The boys came in minutes after their parent's arrival with the girls behind them including Kim who was scared of grandma making the pleasantries start over again "still no words from him?" I heard Justin ask my grandma who made space for him at the edge of the bed to sit, "heard he has been like this since she was found," grandma said to him pulling me closer into herself "their bond must be very strong compared to I and Kim" Justin responded while grandma hisses at his words "I never tag you guys has twin because she was born a day after you were born making you her elder brother and that girl is just so bitter and a snake" grandma replied him loudly and I am certain Kim heard her because she stopped her conversation with Rafael and looked at us with sadness in her eyes. "That's true grandma but I have Diamond now and I am sure Cole won't mind sharing her with me," Justin agrees with her, I guess Kim bitchy attitude wasn't aimed at Ro alone for her twin brother to agree to the insult passed to his sister "Andre will have to share her with not only you but Theo and Lorenzo also," she said to him "what are you talking about?" he asked her making me more interested in their conversation, I looked up at her face and she looked down at mine with a sly smile on her face. "I might be old boys but I know the drills when I see them," she responded "what drill are you seeing?" Justin asked slyly, "well, it's obvious they both like her with the way they have been looking at her ever since their arrival and if we aren't careful, it might be sophomore year over again." She replied casually.

"Ro doesn't know their feelings for her," I whispered making both of them shocked, I looked at Justin who had a smile on his face looking accomplished "why are you looking at me like that?" I asked him making everyone stop their conversation to look at me while mom and dad rushed to my side with smiles on their faces, Justin and grandma high five each other causing everyone to burst into laughter while I looked like an alien amongst them, "Justin and Ellen have this thing they do when one of the kids are angry or sad, they try to make the person better and it works every time it's like their thing," grandpa said to me noticing my confused state "oh!" was what I could say in response.

"It's nice hearing you voice baby, what should I get you?" Mom said, "I am fine mom" I answered wearing a small smile on my lips, "are you sure man, like you haven't eaten anything in like three weeks now just juice and water?" Justin inquired I nod my head in response. I looked at Ro to see her eye lids shake, the machines she's connected to starts beeping rapidly making everyone look towards her and Dr. Rossi checking her, I stood up from the bed to give him space, he pulled a blue button beside the machine making the room filled with all the doctors' dad paid to fly in on her behalf. "What is wrong with my daughter Alex?" I heard mom asking him before she broke down into sobs again, we were told to leave the room so the doctors could do their jobs without any distractions.

We've been out here for over two hours with nurses going in and coming out the room and none of them is answering questions fired at them by everyone, I know she is fine because she can't leave the way Emma did, or can she? As much as I am trying to be positive about the whole situation there is a little part of me that is scared of the unknown outcome, I am scared of what will happen when she opens her eyes? Will she be happy when she hears about me being her twin brother? Will she be happy finding out who our biological parents are? What about the trauma, the nightmares and the phobias, will it be worse than before? I want her to be able to live in a world where her pains will no longer exist and her hurts are disappeared.

The sound of the door opening again and everyone walking out of the room pulled us all out of our worries and imaginations, "how is she?" we all asked at once we saw Dr. Rossi walked out of the room with a worried look on his face. "Who is Sky?" he asked our parents, "I am" I answered instead, "no wonder" he whispered gesturing us to follow him while he walked back into the room, seated on the bed looking helpless is Ro with tears gushing down her cheeks while she tries burying herself into the head of the bed while looking at the neurologist flew in by dad. "You didn't tell us she's awake?" I questioned while mom and dad rushed towards her making her scream in fear as she pushes herself deeper into the bed as buries her face into her hands, mom and dad stepped back with mom in tears again making dad pull her into himself.

The whole scene looked familiar making me take steps towards her, I climbed on the bed and the heart monitor beeping loudly "Hazel, it's Sky can you calm down for me babe?" I said to her while I keep crawling towards her to stop in front of her legs, I pulled her head away from her hand making her look at me but her eyes were shut, "Haz, follow the sound of my voice and breath for me babe I am here with you deep breath in and out for me just like always," I continued, some minutes after she opened her teary eyes looking at me before I could say a word she jumped into my arms while she sobs and tried to make words at the same time, I shushed her and pull her closer while I pat her hair and back at the same time using both hands "Who brought me to the hospital Sky?" she whispered for my ears only, I looked around after pulling away from the hug to sit and pull her into myself "we all did" I responded to her "who are they and where is Ocean?" she asked instead making everyone gasps in surprise "do you know who I am baby?" mom asked her and she shakes her head in response making mom start another round of tears.
