Adopted novel Chapter 8

"Enough about me, what about you Sky tell us about the couple adopting you?" Nia inquires taking all attention off her and unto Sky who was grinning from ear to ear excited to share his experience, "They are the Blacks, the husband is a businessman who buys, invests and sells off bankrupt companies his wife is a well-known model in the industry who has her beauty product company, they a 25 years old daughter who is married with two kids her name is Isabella she always wanted a sibling especially a brother so she is happy with them adopting a male child, I told them I am gay expecting them to reject me but the wife said she knew and she likes me no matter what my sexuality is, I told her I want to be a model she was overjoyed she wants to send my application details to the Fashion Institute of technology I was shocked when she said it like it's my dream college but it's very expensive." He screams out in laughter which we joined due to his enthusiasm. "I am happy for you", I say to him after our laughter dies down, he is also going to have a great family who wants him for who he is and they are willing to help him grow career wise.

"I am happier for you Hazel, your adoptive parents are the great Marshall are you kidding me you have no one to compete with?" Sky replies happily while he looks at me like I am royalty, "you are going to have everything and everyone at your feet just begging you to say hello and touch them," Nia screams joyously joining Sky who is jumping on the bed like someone who just won a lottery.

"Tell us everything how are they in person?" Nia ask after they are both done with their happy dancing, "You better start talking young lady you sat down with the gods of the business world the king and queen of the United States and you are going to be a demigoddess and a princess you better give us the full list." Sky inputs.

I told them everything we talked about how I didn't recognize them in person till I realized who they are, how we talked about myself and changing my name how open and happy they were to me and how my life will be guarded 24/7.

"Whoa, who would have thought that a depressed abandoned child will be the heiress to the United State fortune." May's voice pulls us out of our conversation, "You think you can get away with having what I have always wanted my whole life, my dream of being the daughter of the Marshalls," She ask with hate rolling out her every word. "You are not good to be their child you are an ugly, pathetic, miserable, depressed, and unwanted girl who needs to be eradicated from the society," She said looking at me with so much hatred, I suddenly find my fingers quite fascinating while I watch them shake in fear, I see Nia holding my hands and squeeze on them attempting to stop them from shaking.

"What do you want from us May?" Sky question her sounding very angry he has never sounded like that, he sounded scary, "just because you are about to be adopted by an influential couple, you can start biting don't forget you are a puppy Sky all bark no bite," She taunts dismissively returning her gaze at me, "so you think May, I am giving you till the count of three if you don't get out of our room I will ask the bodyguards standing outside to throw you out," Sky fires back at her immediately walking towards where she stands. "How did she get past them in the first instance?" Nia ask him while she tries to calm my shaking hands, "I think your time is up May," Sky says to her with a smirk on his face, "You can't do anything to me Sky," She replies him with a smirk on her face matching the one of Sky's face which only increases the fear I had within me, I am scared of what she's going to do to Sky and us especially Sky. "Security," Sky shouts and immediately the sound of the door opening pulls my attention from my fingers towards the four bodyguards who walks into the room with guns in their hands while looking around for the threat, after walking around the room and making sure there is no intruder they keep their guns back into their hostler and walk towards Sky.

"Is there a problem Mr. Black," One of the bodyguards inquires while bowing his head before Sky, "I want her out of our room please," Sky answers him pointing to May seconds after getting through the shock of being called Mr. Black and being bowed to, "How did she get in?" Nia ask him out of curiosity. "She said she's a friend of yours Miss Walker," Another bodyguard respond bowing to her almost immediately. "She's no friend of ours and we want her out of our room please," Sky tells him authoritatively they nod in response and walk May out of the room who was surprisingly quiet since they walk in but she starts resisting while they walked her to the door which results to her being carried out. "What just happened and when did you start talking like that?" Ocean ask facing Sky with her detective look coming into play, "Today I guess, my about to be father said my sexuality shouldn't define me I am about to be the son of a businessman it's expected of me to command respect with my voice and appearance everywhere and anywhere I find myself, I am practicing that which I find quite fascinating." He smiles sounding pleased with his delivery.

"What! that was epic I have always wanted us to be able to shut her up like we did today, like did you see the look on her face it was priceless," She said happily clapping her hands in pride, "You are fine now Haz." She faces me cleaning the tears that have managed to escape from my eyes with her fingers, "She's right you know she..." I start to them truthfully with pains in my heart, "She isn't right because she doesn't know you like we do she knows nothing about you, Sky helps me here." Oceania interrupts me she looks at Sky with a glint of hope in her eyes. "Look at me Haz," Sky demands making me look up to meet his gaze, "You are the prettiest girl to grace the face of this earth you are smart, Intelligent, Beautiful, Sexy, you are not a mistake but your birth parents are for abandoning you." Sky says as he takes his seat beside me holding my hands in his, "Yes you are depressed and that's because you've been through what no one in this house has gone through, you are strong for you always rise no matter how broken you are, girl you are courageous as you face everyone that ever made you go through hell every day with a smile on your face, you are a star you brighten up our night sky when we feel down, you are a role model to every orphans as you wake up every morning always wishing for a better day than the previous one and to sum it all up babe you are a living perfection and don't let anyone tell you anything different and if they do, don't believe because they are jealous of who you are." He concludes with tears rolling down his cheeks he grins at Nia who is also smiling as she nods her head in support of Sky's words with tears coming out of her eyes also.
