Alana's POV
"I'm gonna have to work late again," Aiden says biting his lip and I turn frowning this was the fifth time this week and the first time was a week ago!
"Again?" I sigh and he grabs my hands. "Why?"
"I'm trying to get some investors...and it's taking a bit more time..."
"Investors...but I thought those were for companies who sell stuff..." I murmur confused.
"I need them to promote my business."
"Oh..." I still don't understand but whatever, I trust him. "Well. I can always stay with you."
"Nah babe, stay home to rest." He kisses my forehead and I sigh exasperatedly again.
"I love you..." He says.
"I love you too."
Aiden's POV
I hate it.
I just hate lying to Alana.
But Jess asked me to go to a doctor's appointment with her and I stupidly agreed!
So here I am tapping my foot impatiently as the doctor blabs and blabs and blabs.
"Who's paying for the vitamins?" He eyes her and I roll my eyes.
"Me."
"You're the father I suppose?"
"Yes," Jess says eagerly and I gape.
"No. Definitely Not." Her face sags and the doctor raises an eyebrow at us before coughing and getting the prescriptions. "Stop that." I snap and she frowns.
"Aiden I-"
"Here you go." I grab the papers and walk to the built-in pharmacist. I give her the money for it and leave.
She's just here making everything complicated!
How am I supposed to tell Alana that I'm taking care of my ex-girlfriends baby?!
I arrive at the office and sigh plopping onto my seat. James soon follows and he purses his lips at me.
"Aren't you married?"
"She needed help-"
"Does Alana know?"
"James-"
"Does. Alana. Know?" He raises an eyebrow and I sigh.
"No."
"You're going to lose something if this blows up." He warns, sitting in the seat opposite of me. "Can't you see she's only trouble?"
"She's carrying a baby!"
"It's not yours!"
"She can't afford it, James. Why should the baby suffer for her mistakes?"
"Right...because you've known it since it was an unfertilized egg. Alana will love that." He says sarcastically and I run my hands through my hair.
"I just want to help her."
"That's fine, you just shouldn't have done it behind her back," James says. "Trina's figured it out."
"She what?" I gape and James frown.
"She was um, visiting me and she saw Jess leave your office. Jess spilled all the beans, even adding a few myths."
"Oh crap. This is bad. Where's Trina now?"
"I tried to stop her."
"Where is she?" I ask again this time more urgently.
"She's on her way to your house."
Pushing open the front door I expect nothing less as Trina sat explaining everything to Alana who looks shell shocked. Their eyes turn to me and Trina glares.
"Aiden?"
"Babe listen-"
"Can you just piss off? Give me my freaking bag."
"No." He says and I purse my lips reaching for my phone. He grabs it before me and I scoff.
"Y'know what? I don't even care. Trina should have clothes that'll fit me." I begin to stomp to the living room only to be thrown over his shoulder.
"Put. Me. Down." I growl.
"Alana-"
"I am not kidding. Put me down!" I yell but he only stands, in the middle of the bedroom.
"Listen to me. I love you and only you. When jess came to me I wasn't going to help her at first but, I.. the baby doesn't need to suffer for the actions of the parents...I'm so sorry I kept it from you baby, but I didn't know how you'd react and I just...I wasn't ready." We're both silent for a moment and I shake my head.
"Put me down."
"Alana..." he murmurs.
"Down. Now." He sucks his teeth, before plopping me onto the bed, and crawling over me. "Aiden-"
"Please stop being mad at me." He murmurs laying on my stomach and I frown. "Nothing is going on with Jess and I.. if you want you can come to every meeting I have with her."
"Oh, so now I get to come?" I mutter sarcastically but I forgave him anyway.
"Fine. I forgive you." I mutter grumpily. He moves up to my face and tilts his head.
"It doesn't look like it."
"Take it or leave it." He buries his face in my neck and I bite my lip as he lays kisses all over my neck. "Don't try to seduce me," I mutter flipping around and he chuckles.
"I don't have to...you're already seduced aren't you..." he whispers the last part in my ear and I shiver slightly. I knew he was going to tear my clothes off and I personally like this shirt so...
"Wait!" I yell, he sits up and I willingly take off my shirt and he smirks, moving to rest against the headboard.
"I see you've lost enough shirts."
"At this rate, I'll have to go shopping..." I murmur in all seriousness as he pulls me onto him.
"I really am sorry." He says and I sigh, sitting on his lap.
"I forgive you babe, but that's a huge secret you kept from me...what if it had continued? Do you think we'd be here right now?"
"Nah there'd be a huge fire with my clothes and shoes in the backyard." He states and I giggle.
"True that." We finally join lips and I guess this is a better way to end the night instead of spending it at Trina's house.
