Lucas POV:

We have been searching for any sign of Sin or Lana for the past four days. Every lead we get turns out to be a dead end.

I've been away from my pack for a day and a half now, leaving Charlie to take on my duties.

Layla has been staying with us since the attack. Every day, she gets weaker and weaker. She'll die soon if I don't find her family.

Charlie POV:

I was out on the field training with Sadie, while trying to keep an eye on Layla at the same time which was difficult.

Sadie and I could barely concentrate because of our worry for Layla so we gave up and went to her side.

There weren't many wolves out on the field due to the threat being so much higher.

Just as those thoughts came to my head, the alarms started to sound.

"Adrien! Get Layla and Sadie to the bunker!" I yelled. "I won't leave you here Luna." He said hurriedly. "That's an order!" I yelled angrily. "Yes, Luna." He replied.

Lucas had finally marked me days earlier so my senses were heightened greatly.

I shifted immidiatly and began my search around the border.

"Where the hell are they?" My wolf asked me.

"Aren't you just precious?" I heard behind me. I turned to see a man holding a gun to my wolf's head. I growled loudly at him, making him take a small step back.

He was about to pull the trigger when a large black wolf pounced on the hunter, snapping his neck.

"Lucas!" I yelled through the bond. "Behind you, Charlie!" He called to me.
