"Hey, calm down please" my mate frowned once he saw me mid-panic. I ignored him and ran my fingers through my knotted hair as my breathing quickened.

I don't deserve having a mate, especially an Alpha mate. He deserves so much better then me and a mate that's actually capable of leading along side him instead of a mute wolf who can't even shift.

"Mate please calm down" he frowned and cupped my face his hands. He titled my head up and the second my eyes locked with his, my body relaxed.

"That's it" he smiled as he caressed my cheeks with his thumb. I closed my eyes and let out a sigh.

My eyes snapped open when I felt him place a soft kiss on my forehead.

My stomach clenched and Tala was barking happily in my head.

I stared at my mate in amazement. It's been years since I've been showed affection and I forget how it felt.

"I may not know what happened in your past, but I hope you'll trust me enough one day to tell me. I promise you that whatever hurt you in your past, I won't let it happen to you here. I promise to protect you and help you" he said softly as he stared into my eyes, determination and love laced his tone.

I couldn't stop the tears as they escaped my eyes. He frowned and wrapped his comforting arms around me.

"Why are you crying?" He said sadly as he frowned against my neck.

I shook my head as a sob left my lips. I pulled away and smiled slightly at him.

"Happy tears?" He asked. I nodded as I wiped my tear stained cheeks with my hands.

He smiled at me and wrapped his hands around mine. I hesitantly took hold of his wrist and opened his hand so his palm was opened flat.

I then used my finger and began to write my name on his hand.

"Rosiane?" He asked confused. I nodded and pointed to myself.

"Your name is Rosiane?" He asked and I nodded in reply. My name sounded amazing as it left his lips and sent my stomach into a frenzy.

"Well Rosiane, my name is Noah"

Beta Luke

I groaned as I turned around and stuffed my face further into the warm pillow. The pillow shook lightly and I snapped my eyes open.

I set up our plates as he finished making our coffee. He finished his breakfast in a few minutes while I could barely finish half of mine.

I played around with the food and felt his intense gaze on me. I shyly looked up through my lashes and furrowed my eyebrows curiously at him.

"You're not used to eating much are you?" He frowned. I gulped but shook my head in reply as I sipped my coffee.

He seemed to catch onto things quickly and I'm sure he's figured out what happened in my past for the most part but I doubt he knows about what the Beta did.

I shuddered at the thought of him and quickly busied myself with collecting then washing the plates.

"I'm not going to push you into telling me anything. You can tell me when your ready" he spoke as he leaned against the counter beside me with his arms crossed. I nodded and sent him a thankful smile before returning to the dishes.

Once the dishes were put away, he gently took my hand and led us to the living room and switched on the large flat scene tv.

We watched a show called 'Family Guy' and it was actually quite funny. I'd catch myself smiling at the bickering between the family dog Brian and the baby Stewie.

"Rosiane would you be ok if I introduced you to my Beta and his mate? They're very eager to meet you" Noah asked hesitantly as he scratched the back of his neck.
