I froze the second I heard the word 'Beta' and began to hyperventilate. I could hear the distant sound of his concerned voice before finally snapping out of daze when a warm hand cupped my cheek.

"Rosiane" he said as he let out a sigh of relief. "What happened? Why did you freak out?" He asked sadly.

I gulped and gestured for pen and paper. He stood and grabbed them from a nearby desk and handed them to him.

'Bad experience with Beta' I wrote simply and showed him. I saw his eyes flash gold before returning to his original colour.

"My Beta wouldn't dare hurt you nor would his mate. When he heard I found you he was ecstatic. He couldn't wait until I found my mate so he could protect her like his own sister. He wouldn't dream of hurting you" he spoke as he held both my hands in his.

I gulped as I looked down, not fully believing his words about the Beta.

"Rosiane do you trust me?" He asked. I looked up into his emerald eyes and nodded.

"Then trust me when I say my Beta wouldn't hurt you baby" he said softly as he leaned his forehead against mine. My breathing quickened at our close proximity but then I relaxed.

I nodded hesitantly and he grinned.

"Thank you baby" he said and placed a soft kiss on my forehead. My stomach clenched and my cheeks flushed red.

He chuckled and helped me stand up.

"First let's get you some fresh clothes" he stated and I looked down, remembering I was only in his shirt.

I blushed again which made him chuckle and he brought me back upstairs to his room.

He rummaged through his closet as I sat on his bed and came out holding a pair of yoga pants and a shirt.

He gave them to me and I went to the bathroom to change. I put on the leggings and went to put on the shirt when I realised it was his.

I smiled as I breathed in his intoxicating scent before slipping it on and tucking the ends into the yoga pants so it wasn't dropping to my knees.

I brushed my teeth and hair then threw my hair into a messy bun. I exited the bathroom and saw Noah lying on his stomach on his bed.

I stepped closer to the bed and sat next to him, noticing his tense frame.

I hesitantly moved my hand but froze and hovered it over his back. I was afraid of his reaction but this felt right. I trusted him not to hurt me and I felt comfortable around him.

"Noah" they greeted in return as Noah shut the door.

"Can you guys wait in the living room, we'll be there in a minute?" He asked them and I think they agreed because I heard retreating footsteps.

"Rosiane?" He spoke as he turned to face me. I snapped my gaze upwards and looked at him.

"It's ok. Trust me. They won't hurt you and I won't let anyone hurt you" he reassured as he took my shaky hands in his warm ones.

I tried to calm my breathing but couldn't and Noah quickly pulled me into his chest and wrapped his warm, comforting arms around me. I breathed in his scent and felt myself calming down.

I pulled away from his embrace and smiled at him. He grinned and intertwined our hands and led us to the living room.

"Guys, this is my mate Rosiane. Rosiane this is my Beta, Luke and his mate Charlotte" Noah introduced once we entered the living room.

They both grinned widely at me while I half hid behind Noah. He squeezed my hand reassuringly so I waved shyly to them.

"She's adorable" Charlotte squealed but stayed where she was.
