"Sorry about her, she gets overly excited sometimes" Luke smirked as Charlotte gasped at him.

"Well she is our Luna. A Luna that we've been waiting for for years" she huffed as she glared at him.

"Well I'm excited too but you're overly excited. You've probably scared her" he tutted as he shook his head at her.

Charlotte instantly frowned and looked at me sadly.

"I'm sorry. Did I scare you? I didn't mean to. I promise, I'm just excited and I couldn't wait to met you and when-" she rambled but was cut off by her mate.

"Charlie, babe calm down I was kidding" Luke chuckled and she glared at him.

I found myself smiling as they bickered amongst themselves.

"See I told you they aren't that bad" Noah whispered in my ear as we watched them.

I shivered as his breath tickled my neck but nodded. He placed a delicate kiss on my neck before standing up straight.

"Ok guys that's enough" he chuckled and the couple stopped arguing and turned to us.

I was still in a daze after the kiss he placed on my neck and the skin burned pleasantly where he kissed it.

I snapped out of daze and focused on the couple in front of me.

"Sorry about that" Charlotte apologised sheepishly as she scratched the back of her neck. I shrugged in reply, silently telling her it's fine.

She grinned and went to step closer but stopped suddenly.

"Is it ok if I hug you?" She asked hesitantly.

My breath caught in my throat at the question. I looked at Noah, knowing he must've told them to be careful around me.

I turned back to look at Charlotte who looked kind of sad and was staring at the floor.

'This pack is good Rosiane. This pack won't harm us' Tala reassured me.

I took a deep, calming breath before stepping forward and wrapping my arms around Charlotte. She tensed at the sudden contact but quickly wrapped her arms around me.

She giggled as she hugged me tighter. I smiled into her shoulder as she boasted to her mate that she was hugging me.

I pulled away and smiled at her while she grinned at me.

"We're going to be best friends Rosiane. I just know it!" She exclaimed and hugged me again. I flinched at the sudden contact but relaxed and hugged her back.

I picked up a tissue and blew my nose into it as the remaining tears slipped down my cheeks.

I heard the front door slam open and fast approaching footsteps, making us jump in surprise.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying? Who do I have to kill?" Noah asked as soon as crouched down in front of me, holding my hands. I nodded to the tv and saw him visibly relax but then groaned and turned back to me.

"Oh no, please don't tell me you're like Charlotte when watching sad movies" he huffed.

I scowled and slapped the back of the head. But soon froze after realising what I did.

My breathing grew heavier and my hands trembled as I stared wide eyed between him and the hand I hit him with.

"Hey, it's ok" Noah said softly as he held my trembling hands in his. I shook my head from side to side and tried to get my hands out of his hold.

"Rosiane stop. I'm not going to hurt you" he soothed, holding my hands tightly. I looked up with teary eyes and locked gazes with him.

He removed one of his hands from mine and used it to wipe away the tears that had fallen down my face.

"It's ok. I know you were only messing around and that's ok" he smiled at me while he caressed my cheek with his thumb.

His touch began calming me down so I slowly nodded my head and looked down at my, now, settled hands on my lap.
