I began chocking and tried to remove his grip with my hands.

He dropped me to the ground and laughed as I coughed, trying to get air back into my lungs.

"Louis! Get over here!" He yelled and the wolf stood up, all the while growling at me.

I glared back as I stood up. I concentrated on gathering as much air before using it to push both the rogues back and made a run for it.

I heard them both growl and their pounding footsteps began chasing me. I clumsily tripped on a tree root and felt one of the rogues bite my leg before I could stand up.

I screamed in pain as he bit harder and broke the bone.

"Shouldn't have run little one" the rogue grunted as he lifted me up while his friend kept a strong grip on my leg so I couldn't run.

"Let go, I have her" he ordered and the wolf let my leg go. He began dragging me backwards as I tried to loosen his grip.

"The boss will be happy with this one" he chuckled.

My eyes widened at his words and I began to struggle more. After realising I couldn't escape his hold I did the last thing I could think of.

I screamed.

"NOAH!" I screamed at the top of my lungs before the world went black.

. . .

"When will she wake up?" An unfamiliar voice asked.

"Soon hopefully" another unfamiliar voice replied.

I groaned as I became more aware of my surroundings. I was lying on something soft and was surrounded by a sterile scent.

I slowly began opening my eyes but shut them again because of the brightness in the room.

I heard something click and I slowly opened my eyes again. I groaned as I sat up and saw I was in a small hospital room. I froze when I saw a man with his back to me, looking out the small window.

"Good to see you awake Rosiane" he said and I could hear the slight British accent in his voice.

I furrowed my eyebrows at him and then suddenly became aware of the dry, burning feeling in my throat.

I reached to the side and grabbed the small cup of water before drinking it.

"Rosiane, you have to understand that I only did what I did to keep you safe. Your mother and I thought it was the best option to keep you safe until you were older" he explained sadly as he rested his elbows on his thighs.

"But you're the King, you live in a castle with hundreds of guards. How couldn't I be safe here?" I asked.

"Exactly Rosiane. I'm the King. Meaning I have enemies and lots of them. I didn't want to risk your safety" he told me.

I sighed and didn't reply. I guess he had a point but his plan wasn't the best seeing as I wasn't safe and was abused most of my life.

"You're still my daughter and I still care for you and love you all the same" he sighed as he stared at me with sad eyes "and if you'll let me, I'd love to be apart of you life again?" He asked.

I remained silent for a minute before I felt my eyes tearing up as I nodded. He grinned and stood up to hug me. I wrapped my arms around his waist while he wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

"You look just like your mother" he smiled as his hands cupped my face. I smiled at him but a thought suddenly entered my head.

"Oh no" I gasped and quickly went to stand up.

"Hey slow down. What's wrong?" He asked and held my shoulders to stop me from moving.

"My mate, he must be worried sick. I have to call him to tell him I'm ok" I rushed out.
