Chapter overview: Chapter 48 from Bound by Alpha's Deception: My Step-Brother's Secret Vengeance

In this standout chapter of the Internet novel Bound by Alpha's Deception: My Step-Brother's Secret Vengeance, Tsuki introduces new challenges, powerful emotions, and major plot progress that captivate readers from beginning to end.

Rule 2: No killing or harming the humans unless completely necessary.

What they mean by necessary is that if the human has attacked someone or is harming someone, we are allowed step in and help the victim but the council prefer if we kept the damage to a minimum.

Rule 3: If your mate is a human you are to alert the council immediately before telling that human they're your mate.

The reason for that rule is because the human may overreact or think you're crazy and call the police. So with the council aware of the situation, they know how to handle it.

Rule 4: When in the human town, werewolves must abide to all the laws set in that town.

So basically we have to behave ourselves and not cause trouble in other words.

Rule 5: If rogues are in the human town, do not engage with them.

Rogues are a big problem for packs but they are some civil rogues who ran away from their packs or their packs were killed.

If you encounter a rogue in the human town, you aren't allowed to intercept and make a scene. If the rogue isn't causing any trouble they are to be left alone. But if the rogue is causing trouble, we're allowed to intercept and as discreetly as possible, we're to bring them to the Alpha for further instructions.

The rest of the rules are pretty much general morals.

"I'm in the mood for coffee, how about you?" Charlie asked as she began leading us towards a local cafe.

We entered the small cafe and instantly the smell of coffee and cinnamon made its way up my nose. We sat at a table by a window and looked at the small menus.

"Good morning dearies, what can I get you?" An small elderly women smiled when she approached our table with a notepad and pen in hand.

"I'll have a latte with a slice of lemon cheesecake" I told Charlotte so she could tell our waitress.

"One coffee, one latte and two slices of lemon cheesecake please" Charlotte smiled at the lady as she placed her menu back on the table.

"No problem. I'll be back with your order shortly" the lady smiled before walking away.

"So how are things with you and Noah?" Charlie smirked as she wiggled her eyebrows.

"Good" I replied with a blush.

"Have you guys kissed yet?" She asked.

"Charlotte!" I exclaimed as my cheeks became redder.

"Oh you guys did!" She giggled as she squished my cheeks together with her hands. I groaned as shook my head to remove her hands.

"Your orders girls" the lady said as she returned with our drinks and food.

"Charlotte go back and warn the pack. Now!" I ordered using my Luna voice so she'd have no choice but to obey. Although I didn't actually speak, the order still held the same power through the mindlink.

She whimpered and looked at me sadly before running back to the pack.

"All alone now dear. This'll be fun" the older one chuckled as they made their way towards me. I growled and felt my eyes flash.

One of them made a run for me and I punched him in the stomach which resulted in him flying backwards into a tree.

"Little girl can pack a punch" the other one whistled as he smirked at me. His friend stood up and growled at me before shifting.

His wolf charged me but I quickly side-stepped to avoid him and gripped his neck in my hand and slammed him to the ground.

"Forgetting someone?" A voice whispered in my ear before I was kicked on the head and fell to the ground.

I groaned and tried to stand up again but the wolf jumped on top me me.

I used my powers and pushed him back with the help of my air element. He flew back into a tree again but his friend put his foot on my throat before I could get up.

"You are very feisty little one" he chuckled and picked me up my the throat and held me up.
