"Reservation for King" Noah spoke to the hostess. She glanced at her clipboard before smiling at both of us and leading us to our table.

We sat in a booth near the back of the restaurant with a large window beside us with a view of the nearby park.

She handed us our menus before telling us that a waiter will be over shortly to take our orders. We thanked her then she left.

I skimmed through the choices and decided to try something new.

"What are you having?" Noah asked as he set his menu in front of him.

"Lemon prawn and pea risotto" I smiled at the waiter and placed the menu on the table.

"That sound delicious. I think I'll have the same" Noah smiled then nodded to the waiter.

"What would you like to drink" he smiled politely to Noah.

"Water will be fine thank you" Noah replied and the waiter nodded then took our menus and walked away.

Noah took my hand in his from across the table and gently rubbed my knuckles with his thumb.

"I'm proud of you sweetheart" he mumbled quietly which made me turn my gaze from the window to look at him. I look at him puzzled and he smiled softly before continuing.

"You've come so far Rosiane. When I first found you, you were this quiet and scarred girl but now" he paused as a proud grin spread along his lips, "now you are a beautiful, strong women and I'm so proud of how far you've come. I'm proud to have you as my mate"

My eyes teared up at his speech and I smiled at him.

"I wouldn't be the way I am now if it wasn't for you Noah" I told him sincerely and rested my hand on top of his that was still holding mine.

"I love you" my mate told me, his eyes filling with love and adoration as he gazed at me.

"And I love you" I replied and reached over the table and placed a gentle kiss on his lips.

I pulled away and sat down just as the waiter approached with our meals.

"Thank you" we both spoke and the waiter nodded with a smile before leaving.

I picked up my fork and used it to move the food around, examining it.

"You've never had seafood?" Noah asked after he swallowed his prawn.

I shook my head then put a prawn on my fork and lifting it up to look at it.

I opened my eyes and looked up at Noah curiously. He must have felt my stare because he glanced down at me quickly before reaching over and placing his hand on my thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze.

I opened the window further and closed my eyes, allowing the breeze to blow through my hair.

I felt the car stop and quickly opened my eyes and looked around.

"The beach" I grinned in realisation and quickly stepped out of the car. I slipped off my heels and ran towards the sand, not waiting for Noah because I know he'll catch up.

I giggled as I wiggled my toes in the sand, enjoying the strange feeling. Noah came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Good surprise?" He asked in my ear.

"Amazing surprise" I grinned then took his hand and led him towards the waters edge.

I dragged him into the water so it reached my mid calf. I closed my eyes and focused on the sounds and smells that surrounded me, instantly relaxing.

"Thank you" I sighed as I opened my eyes and turned around to face my mate.

"It's no problem. You know I'd do anything to see that beautiful smile of yours" he smiled and cupped my cheek with his hand.
