"He's my brother Noah. My own brother wants me dead and everyone I care about, and for what? I just hate knowing that Cain is the way he is because of some rogue who took him when he was younger. I hate knowing I can't help him"

We sat in silence after my reply, the only sound filling the room was our breathing.

"Get up and go get ready" Noah announced suddenly and stood up from the bed.

"Get ready for what?" I mumbled tiredly.

"I'm bringing you on a date to take your mind off things. So go get ready"

I smiled and shook my head but got up anyways.

"And where are we going?" I asked with a small smile.

"Cute and a bit fancy sweetheart" he winked before entering the closet and coming back out again with some clothes in hand, "I'll leave you get ready in here and I'll change in the next room. I'll give you an hour" he said before leaving the room and closing the door behind him.

"An hour!" I mumbled in frustration. Good thing I already had a shower so now all I have to do is pick an outfit and do my hair and makeup.

I decided to do my hair first so I quickly went to the bathroom and began to blow dry my hair. When I finished, I grabbed the curling iron and started curling my hair. I smiled at the end result and just added some mascara and lip gloss for my makeup.

"What to wear, what to wear?" I mumbled to myself as I rooted through my dresses in the closet. I paused on a black dress that Noah's mother bought me the first time I went shopping.

I smiled and took it off the hanger. After clipping on a matching black lace bra, I slipped the dress on.

"Shoes" I thought out loud and crouched down to browse my shoe collection.

I paused for a minute and stared at the shoe boxes in front of me.

I have a shoe collection.

A few months ago I only had one pair of shoes.

I have a closet full of different types of clothes but a few months ago I barely had a few outfits and they were all hand-me-downs.

The thought was totally surreal. To think I basically had nothing to call my own but now, I have shoes, clothes, a new family who actually love and care for me.

I have a completely new life, an almost perfect life with the exception of the threats and attacks we are currently dealing with.

But after the whole attack ordeal is finished, Noah and I can hopefully start building a life together.

He groaned before pulling away after placing a light kiss on my mark. I looked up into his lust filled eyes and felt a light smirk pull at my lips.

"We can always continue after our date" I whispered teasingly into his ear before pulling away and placing a kiss on the side of his lips. He growled pleasingly and I winked before turning around and walking out of the bedroom.

I smiled when he groaned but quickly followed after me.

"Hot damn girl!" Charlotte exclaimed as I passed the kitchen. I took a step back and peeked inside the kitchen.

"Thanks Charlie" I giggled and felt Noah standing behind me.

"Date night?" She asked as she looked between both of us.

"Yes and we better get going before we miss our reservations" Noah announced as he placed a hand around my waist.

"Well have fun guys" she chuckled before waving us off. I waved and Noah and I both walked outside and into his car.

Fifteen minutes later we arrived at the same restaurant we had our first date at.

He opened my door and took my hand, helping me out of the car. I thanked him and we walked hand in hand into the restaurant.
