"You think you can come along and threaten my pack? Hold a member of my pack hostage then shoot my mate? And just run away like a coward!" I roared in his face, Tala's powerful voice combining with mine.

He tried to speak but I tightened my grip around his neck to where his face was turning blue.

"I'm not going to kill you but I am going to make sure you suffer for the rest of your pathetic life" I whispered threateningly.

"I-I should've aimed f-for his head" James gasped out weakly with a wicked grin on his lips. Tala snarled and without me being able to hold her back, she took full control and shifted.

She somehow blocked me out for a few minutes and when I gained back control, I was in human form and a mangled, bloody body was lying in front of me.

My eyes widened in shock at what Tala did and I quickly stood up and moved away from the body.

"Rosiane!" A voice called and I jumped in surprise before turning around.

"Rosiane what happened?" Zander asked as his eyes locked on the body in front of me. I looked down and saw blood staining my clothes and my skin.

James' blood.

"I-I don't know. Tala took over and I blacked out" I explained.

"Let's get you cleaned up then we'll go check on Noah" Zander spoke calmly as he gently wrapped his arm around my shoulder, leading me towards the pack house.

At the sound of my mate's name I began sprinting towards the pack hospital, not caring that I was covered in blood, and left Zander behind.

"Where's Noah?" I asked the women at the front desk.

"He's in surgery Luna. The bullet was very close to his heart and the doctor suspects it contained wolfsbane. It'll take awhile" she frowned sympathetically.

My eyes began to water and I ran my shaky hands through my hair as I paced in front of her desk.

"Luna, is it alright if one of the nurses give you a quick check up to make sure you haven't sustained any injuries?" She asked softly.

I was about to decline but Zander and Hazel then entered through the front door with Charlotte and Luke following behind.

"Yes please" Zander nodded to her and she called a nurse over.

The nurse led me into a small room where I showered and got a quick check up. Charlotte brought me a fresh pair of clothes to change into which thankfully included one of Noah's shirts.

I was low on energy as I used my healing as best I could on Noah. I healed the extra wounds caused from the surgery but there was still some wolfsbane in his system that Dr. Blake was unable to retrieve. And my powers couldn't rid his body of the wolfsbane because it's toxic to all wolves so my powers practically just bounced off it, in a way, having no effect.

Dr. Blake excused himself and Maddie walked over towards me.

"How are you doing dear?" She asked as she rested a comforting hand on my shoulder. I sighed heavily and turned my head to face her.

"Honestly?" I paused then she nodded her head, "I feel like I'm missing a part of myself. I can hardly eat or sleep anymore because I'm so consumed with worry that he mightn't wake up"

My eyes watered as I looked back at my mate and I felt Maddie's arms wrap around my shoulders. I cried silently as my mate's mother comforted me.

"I'll get you some food dear" she said before smiling and leaving the room.

"Please wake up Noah" I mumbled as I pressed a kiss onto the back of his hand that I was still gripping onto, "you can't leave us. Everyone is so distraught without you. The pack, your parents, me" I paused and choked out a sob.

Tears cascaded down my face and I reached up to touch his face with my free hand.

"I can't loose you Noah. I can't. I love you so much and I don't know how I'd cope without you."
