"Mom?!" I yell as I enter the hollow house. "Mom!"

Please still be here.

"Mom where-"

"Stop yelling!" She screams as she exits her room, her bag perched on her arm. Her white complexion seemed to be more pale than usual and she was sweating.

"Where are you going?" I ask her, although I already know the answer.

"Shut up. Where's my money?"

"I can't give you money mom, not today."

"Oh my gosh, little Camy, what do I send you to work for?" She teases and I swallow harshly.

"You need to stop doing this to yourself I need you to-"

"Not this again." She snorts uncaring and I fight the tears.

So many times.

"The doctors say that you're getting worse, your condition. We have to get you to the hospital-"

"Screw the hospital! And screw you you good for nothing whore! I take care of you-"

"You take care of me?!" I scream back losing it. "I don't freaking think so I take care of myself! I cook for myself, I have to pray that I can make ends meet, while you sit your butt down with your worthless friends."

"Don't speak to me like that. I am your mother."

"Oh please, don't flatter yourself your nothing but a druggie who's in dire need of rehabilitation. " her mouth drops open and I grab the keys from her hand, locking the doors.

"If you don't want to go to the hospital, you're not going to get any drugs."

"Who's the adult here!" She yells rhetorically.

"Obviously not you." I scoff walking to my room and slamming the door.

I can still hear her shamelessly screaming but I don't care. I'm not going to help her destroy herself, she can do that all on her own while I'm not aware.

I was just finishing up on my math homework when something familiar knocked at my window.

I sigh, already knowing it was Tyler as I lifted the window.

"Remember me?" He tilts his head and I bite the inside of my cheek.

"Something came up, I-"

"You could've at least called me." He snaps.

"I don't have a phone," I tell him honestly and his face scrunches up.

"I'm coming up." He says gripping the side of my house and my eyes widen.

"Absolutely not - Tyler don't you dare- Tyler!" But he was already in my room. Werewolf much?

"Woah, your room is pretty." He snorts and I glare at him feeling invaded. His tight white T-shirt and basketball shorts mocking me.

I stare at the purple walls that were lined with my stories that I stuck up myself, I had no electronics just a whole load of books and a table filled with stationary.

"Boring too. Where's the life?" He looks at me teasingly and I shrug.

"On the papers." I touch one and his eyes snap to them as he steps forward.

I've known this tornado for less than two days and he's already barged into my room, reading the pages on the wall.

"The girl locked in the room." He reads out loud and I sit on my bed observing him as he read.

"I'm really sorry I couldn't make it today. I had to...take care of something important."

"What was it?" He seems intrigued now as he turns towards me and I swallow looking away.

"I can't tell you," I admit bluntly and he raises an eyebrow.

"Why not?" He asks stepping towards me and I purse my lips.

"It's personal and I barely know you."

"You could get to know me."

"How about we just study," I suggest walking over to get my sciences book and he sits slowly on my bed, observing me.

I grab a scrap paper a pencil and I walk over to him.

"Okay let's get practical."

"So this last shell...is called The Valence Shell, and the little dots are the Valence Electrons?" He explains and I grin.

"Finally." I lean back happily and he slams the book closed.

"Thank the heavens." He groans. "My brain hurts."

"Nothing. Just looking at you."

"So close?" I laugh nervously afraid to move.

"I'm getting a better view." His voice was low and I wondered how many girls he's done this too.

I mean sure, I've never seen him around a girl at school, but he's not homosexual...so I'm just-

"What's going on in here?"

"How crazy this is."

"What?"

"We've known each other for less than 48 hours, I'm the unnoticed girl, and you're the all-star popular guy and yet here we are." I giggle a bit at that and he snorts.

"Typical. Let me guess you're going to fall for me?"

"Ha! You wish." I push him away awkwardly, clearing my throat. "I don't do boyfriends. Or love for a fact." I stare him down and he tilts his head.

"Is that so? Why not?"

"Love isn't for everyone."

"Is it not?" He smirks and I roll my eyes.

"Go home."

"I'll see you at school?"

"Yes."

"Will you wait for me to give you a ride?"

"No."

"Will you sit with me at lunch?"

"No."

"Will yo-"

"Goo." I groan, moving to push his back, and as soon as I touch his back all I feel his heat. I don't jump away though, I just keep my hand pressed against his back as he tenses. We're in a sudden moment and I feel myself getting all tingly as I whisper. "It's getting late." I pull my hands away and he doesn't relax. Only spares me one last forced smirk before quickly leaving through my window.

Oh my goodness.
