Camry's POV
"I'm okay." My mom whispers as I pick her off the cold floor, the white substance next to her only reminding me of what could've happened.
"I got you." I purse my lips to keep the sob that was begging to leave my lips in.
Sure my mom did the things she did, but it was her way of coping and when she was sober she could be the most loving mother ever. But she doesn't want that anymore. Hence when I said she only cared about herself.
Nevertheless, she was my mother.
After getting her in bed, I allowed the tears to fall as I cleaned up her mess. After a few minutes of silent crying, I lost it and pushed myself into the corner of the wall, sobbing desperately into my hands.
I don't want to call her a burden, but she is. I can't have friends, I can't have a normal, life. I can't go to college, I'm just stuck. I watch her waste herself away because of my dead father and I can't help it but complain about how selfish she is.
I needed her.
I Stoll do.
She wasn't the only one who lost him...but yet I had to be the strong while, keeping composed but I had to lose it sometimes.
Finishing my little sob story, I stood, wiping my eyes, and heading to my room. I took a quick shower, before dressing in my most comfy pillows and saying a prayer before heading to bed.
My eyes felt sore yet I couldn't close them.
Not yet.
Someone stayed etched into my mind and I could help but stare out at the light across my yard and the figure that moved past that window every five minutes or so.
Tyler Gold wasn't the person I expected when I watched from Afar...
I stood stuck to my lockers as I basically stalked the boy with the dirty blonde hair. He talked carelessly with his friends while I had none.
His eyes would drift and then I would look away. He would make fun of me. Call me a freak like the rest.
He was incredibly handsome yet there was nothing I could do, I was the freak with the pink eyes. He had the whole female population falling at his feet, why would he want me?
"I ditched practice for you yesterday." Tyler groans as he comes from the coach's office.
"Oh, now you remember." I roll my eyes and he glares at me playfully. "What's the verdict?"
"250 pushups today."
"That's not so bad..."
"Try to do it while there's a concrete block on your back. " he deadpans and I gasp.
