"Don't stress yourself darling, we will take care of everything, and Jay will take care of you while you're getting ready to shift." Diana said with a caring look, and started to drag all of her boys out of the kitchen, except Jay.
"So are you just going to watch me eat all day?" I ask him amused.
"Well I guess so if you aren't going to be doing anything else." He said right back.
"Touché."
I continue eating and don't even realize I have spaced out until Jay is sitting right in front of me shaking my shoulders.
"You alright there." Jay asks me.
"Yea I guess I'm just a little nervous. She said it would be much more difficult than the first time. She also said that you have to stay with me throughout the whole process." I say a little scared about what is to come.
"Don't worry I will always be there." Jay says tightening his grip on my hand, which I hadn't even noticed he was holding.
We give each other little smiles to reassure ourselves that everything was going to turn out alright. I lean in to hug him, but as I lean forward a splitting pain goes through my head. I rip my hands out of his and clutch my head in them. I try to yell out to Jay, but the pain is too intense, it requires all of my attention.
The pain in my head does not go away, but it seems to lessen as it spreads to my heart. I now clutch my chest, but I know it will do nothing to the extreme pain I am feeling. The pain spreads throughout my whole body. This is nothing like my first shift. The first time I didn't get all of this pain, just the pain of my bones breaking and mending back into my wolf form. This was completely different.
I look up at Jay again and motion with my head for him to shift and take a run with me. My wolf can't wait to her mate in wolf form and to run and play with him. For a strong wolf she is very silly at times it seems. Jay comes to me and leads us outside. He starts stripping right in front of me, and I immediately turn around. I can hear him chuckling at me, and I in turn huff at him.
I feel him come up behind me and then I fell him sniffing my butt, like all dogs do. I quickly turn around and head but him. My wolf likes playing with his wolf and I do have to admit it is a little entertaining. I turn and take off running into the woods. He shots off after me like I know he would. I zigzag trying to get him off my trail, but it doesn't seem to be working.
I can't hear him behind me so I turn my head to see if I can spot him. When I don't see him I stop for a second and walk back. As I walk back I am tackled to the ground by Jays' wolf. He licks my face and neck. My wolf starts to purr in satisfaction, then he suddenly stands up and runs in the other direction. I look after him in a bit of a daze and then I get mad because he left me here.
I run after him and when I can finally see him I speed up and tackle him returning the favor only this time I just sit on top him. While his wolf growls a bit under me, I start grooming my paws. He finally lets out a low and serious warning growl, but I just lay down on top him and snuggle into him. I give him a wolfish grin and purr, knowing he won't be able to be mad at me if I did that.
