Annie texted me and agreed to go on a date with me. I wonder what changed her mind. Evan must've done something to piss her off. I chuckled at the thought. Dude has no self-control when it comes to girls.
I waited for him to arrive. We were supposed to hang out and play some games.
What, did you think our friendship will be ruined because of a girl? Not a chance in hell. But that doesn't mean I won't fight him for her.
He came inside and slumped on the couch with a dark expression on his face.
"She told me she is going out on a date with you," he said after a while. "Then I freaked her out, now she hates me," he added grimly.
"What did you do to her?" I glared at him.
"Nevermind what I did. The point is, I fucked up. He covered his face in frustration.
Was I wrong about him? Maybe he does think of her as more than a possession.
"I'm sure she'll forgive you. But knowing you, you are gonna piss her off again," I smirked. "Then she will realize I'm the true gentleman and we will live happily ever after," I declared.
"In your dreams loser," Evan laughed.
"Are we gonna play some games or talk about her all night?" I said and threw the controller at him. He shrugged and turn it on.
After a few hours, we were back on that subject again which turned into an argument.
"I don't care what she says, you can't take her out this Friday!" he cried.
"Fuck off! I can do whatever I want. And she WANTS to go with me," I yelled.
"She only said yes to you because she was jealous of Lily and how close we were. She clearly wants me and wants to make me jealous," he grinned smugly.
"Yeah right. She just saw what a jerkoff you are so she changed her mind," I countered.
"If you take her on a date this Friday, you'll regret it," he threatened me.
"Oh? What are you gonna do about it, asshole?" I knew he would never hit me but he will try to ruin our date somehow.
"You'll see," he hissed.
"Oooh I'm sooo scared," I mocked.
"Fuck it, I'm outta here. See you Friday," he smirked mischievously.
"You better not ruin our date or I'll make you pay," I said and glared at him. He flipped me off then walked out the door.

I stared at the mark Evan left on my neck. My eyes teared up as I felt angry at him. Who does he think he is acting like he can do whatever he wants with me? I'm not his object!
I may have been a pushover before but I'm tired of being bullied. By him and by my mother. I can't stand it anymore.
"And who are you to tell her what to do?" Lily glared at her.
Huh? Is she defending me? But why?
"Um...I mean...I thought..." the girl stammered.
"Just shut the fuck up and leave her alone, Molly. You don't have a chance with Evan even if she is out of the picture. He is not into cheap sluts like you," Lily said cruelly.
Molly looked like she was slapped in the face. "I don't know what your problem is Lily but get off your high horse and stop being a bitch," she declared and walked away with her friends.
"Are you okay?" Lily asked. Her eyes softened.
"Uh...yeah...thank you for defending me," I said.
"Don't mention it. I can't stand those snooty bitches," Lily sighed. "Even though I am one of them," she giggled.
"You are not that bad," I smiled for the first time.
"What are you doing here anyway? And why did you pick that hideous dress?" Lily asked and pointed at the dress in my hand. I quickly put it back. Jeez, I guess Evan was right, I do have a bad taste in clothing.
"I have a date on Friday so I was thinking about buying a new dress," I looked down shyly.
Lily's face lit up. "Well, you are in luck, because I am sort of a fashionista you see. How about I help you pick out a dress for you?" she suggested.
I thought about it. I could definitely use some help. I smiled and nodded in agreement.
