Annie's P. O. V.
"No way I'm wearing that!" I giggled as Lily held up a black dress in front of me. It had an open back and was way too short on me. I was used to wearing loose and comfortable clothes and that dress looked tight.
"Come on! Just try it on. You can never go wrong with a little black dress," Lily insisted and shoved it in my hand.
"B...but...its so short!" I protested.
"Yeah, so? You have nice long legs so it'll look really good. Your breasts are on the smaller side so the halter front with the open back is perfect! Just put it on!" she said.
I sighed in defeat and went to the fitting room. I put on the dress then came out.
"It looks great! You look like a model," Lily chirped.
"You are lying," I laughed.
"Who do you think I am? Regina George? I don't give fake compliments. This is the dress for you. I just wish you could lose those glasses. But regardless, Evan is going to love it," she said.
I shifted uncomfortably. "I'm not going out with Evan," I said quietly.
Lily looked surprised. "You are not?" she asked. "But I thought you and Evan were practically together. He literally ditched me for you and said you were his, blah blah blah. So what happened?" she said and looked at me curiously.
"Evan and I had an argument so we are not friends anymore. I am going on a date with Mike instead," I said.
"No, she is not."
I felt like my heart stopped as I heard the deep, husky voice of Evan Green.
Evan's P. O. V.
I went to the mall to return some stuff for my mother. Then I saw her. Annie wearing a sexy little black dress that was tight on her small frame and exposed her beautiful legs. Just when I was on the verge of losing her she goes and be even more beautiful. That's just not fair!
I saw her talking to Lily and they were laughing and talking together. Since when did they become friends? What the hell did I miss?
But when I heard her say that the dress was for her date with Mike, rage flickered in my brain. There was no way in hell I'll let her go on a date with another guy wearing THAT.
"Evan! fancy seeing you here," Lily said and gave me a sly smile. "We were just talking about you," she added.
"I am here to return something. Why are you two together? What's going on here?" I asked. On what planet does Lily hang out with someone other than her clique in high school?
"We are shopping and I am helping her pick out a dress for her date, DUH!" Lily rolled her eyes.
"Yes, why can't she?" Lily looked at me curiously. I feel like she was having too much fun seeing me backing down slowly.
"Because...well...because it's too sexy! And I want you to wear it for me not him!" I shouted. Some of the customers turned their heads and looked at me but I didn't care.
"Well, I am wearing it for Mike!" Annie announced and stomped over to the counter. The cashier looked at me curiously then rung up her dress.
"Goodbye Evan, I am done talking to you!" Annie said and started to walk away.
"Do you need a ride?" Lily offered.
"Yes, thank you," Annie smiled at her then turned her head and glared at me. I couldn't help but smirk when I saw her face. She looks like a little Chihuahua when angry.
So she thinks she can get new friends and get away from me, huh? Not a chance in hell. I will definitely crash that date on Friday.
Mike wouldn't tell me where he was taking her for that very reason so I decided to spy on her that day. I will find out where don't you worry little hamster.
I couldn't focus on anything for the rest of the day. I kept thinking about her in that dress and what would it be like to tear it off her body and make love to her. Fuck...what I would do to hear her moan in that sweet voice of hers.
What if she likes Mike more? Insecurity washed over me at the same time. She is planning to wear that dress on their date. He is the one who gets to be with her, not me. What if he touched her and she doesn't push him away? I didn't want to think about it.
