"How's Evan?" I asked as Brooke smiled at me.
"He is better and really happy. Thanks to you." She spoke, gratefully.
"It's just my job." I turned to face Janet as her eyes were already on me. I smirked as a tint of blush appeared on her cheeks. I pulled her towards with our interlaced hands as Eric and Brooke watched Janet.
"I want you to meet my wife, Janet." I spoke as Eric and Brooke gave me a quizzical look.
"I didn't know you got married." Eric said, surprised.
"It's being a month." I answered him as he nodded. "I brought my wife here to show her a newborn baby. Brooke, I hope you don't mind if Janet can hold the baby?" Brooke turned to face Janet and then me. She nodded her head with a small smile as she called for Janet. Janet slowly and hesitantly walked towards Brooke as I left our adjoined hands, strolling towards Eric.
"What are you doing here in New York?" I asked Eric as he leaned against the wall while watching his wife with loving eyes.
"I came here for business; Antonio couldn't come here so I had too and I couldn't leave Brooke alone knowing it was her last month. So, I brought her with me" I nodded, understanding and then I heard that same angelic laugh again. Turning to face my wife, I saw her laughing while holding a baby. My heart leaped at her happiness and I wanted time to stop right there and then. Brooke was talking with Janet as she listened with a smile while rocking the baby in her arms, being really careful and following Brooke's instruction.
"So, how did you get married. Last time, I checked you never wanted too." He asked with a smirk as he raised his eyebrows waiting for my answer.
"It was kind of an arranged marriage. Sean came to me and asked me to marry his only daughter." I answered as he got shocked all of a sudden.
"Sean has a daughter?" I nodded at him as he sighed.
"I didn't know." Neither did I. I stayed silent after that as we both watched our wives'. Later after a few minutes we went back to my office. I got a call from one of the nurses to attend on a patient and I went to it, leaving Janet in my office. When I was done, I took her to the car to drop her house as I already had loads of work. I parked the car in front of our house as she was about to get out, I caught her wrist.
"I will be back in a few hours; I won't be able to make it to lunch. You eat and I'll eat in my office." She frowned but nodded. She gazed down at my hand that was on her wrist and her cheeks started to heat up.
"The dinner is ready." I said, shyly as he nodded his head with that smirk. His eyes were still on mine making me instantly blush. He stepped forward and I stepped back as he was standing really close to me. His hand raised up as I flinched but he didn't stop, his hands pushed a strand of hair out of my face as my face must be full red. I hate when I flinch, I know he will never hit me. His hand was now cupping my cheek as he raised my head to face him, fully.
"Have you eaten your lunch?" Oh no! My eyes looked everywhere except his as I think of an answer. He narrowed his eyebrows at me when I didn't answer him and stepped more closer making my breath hitch. His other hand now settled on my waist pulling me closer. As my hands automatically landed on his chest. It was hard and-!
"Janet?" I meet his ocean blue and green eyes as I shook my head and whispered a 'no' and he frowned.
"Why?" He asked.
"I got busy, I was watching this movie with Lydia and it was really good, that I forgot to eat lunch." He frowned at me as I kept biting my lips. His eyes were now getting lower than my eye level. Only after a few seconds his eyes meet my brown orbs again.
"Don't skip meals next time." He warned me with a glare as I quickly nodded "What movie you guys watched?" He asked, gaining interest suddenly.
