I will never understand you, Robert.

The next day, I woke up and saw the time.

4 AM.

How do I wake up this early?

Oh yeah, alarm.

I got down without doing anything and saw Robert talking on the phone.

"FINE" he yelled and after he saw me, he replied. "Yes, okay"

He hanged up the call and came to me.

"Grab a gun from my closet, the password is 8-1-9-12-5-25, and come down fast; no questions," he said and went to his room.

What is happening?

Why does he want me to get a gun?

And he really told me his password!

I wonder what that password means.

I think I should go!!

I ran to the room and quickly unlocking his closet, I grabbed a gun and headed downstairs.

The gun was giving me chills. But I need to focus right now. I think he is serious right now.

He was waiting at the door and I went to him. He took my hand and running, we reached his car.

Hailey's POV 

I was sitting in his car and he was driving insanely. I couldn't even gather up the courage to ask him why or where were we going. 

I still had the gun in my hands and trust me, it was enough to scare the hell out of me.  

"Robert... This gun" I said.  

"Keep it with you. Shoot if you see anyone coming towards you except me and Max" 

"What if Ron or Cane come?" 

"They are not here; they have more important work"

"Okay..." I said.  

I didn't know what was going on. He is just driving and I am sitting in the back seat. He also has a gun that he always carries and one in the car too. But the one in the car seems to be locked. I mean, there's a password.  

"W-Where are we going?" I asked.  

"Max will take you to a safe place after I get down. Just go wherever he says" 

"Max...?" 

"Any problems?" 

"No... But Max?" 

He stopped the car abruptly and looked towards me. "Are you afraid of him? Does he do something wrong?"  

"What? No no, there is nothing like that!" 

"Okay," he continued driving.  

"For your reference, we are- sorry, you are going to Apartment C and you have to go to room number B6, don't enter any other room. No matter what happens, you have to reach that room. The password to that room is the same as my closet, which is 8-1-9-12-5-25. And if you receive any call then you have to get out of the room that instant, whether from a window or any place, I don't care. Just get out that moment" 

That was too much to grasp.  

"Okay... Is everything okay?" 

"Hm," he replied.  

"Now I am gonna get off," he said.  

I added his number to contacts and gave his phone back. 

"Max... Robert will be fine, right?" I asked. 

"Yes. I hope so... Listen, Hailey. He doesn't want me to help him. He can't do this alone... He can't!" he said. 

"What? Why?" I asked. 

"He doesn't trust me and in no way, he wants me to fight for him" 

"Will you?" 

"I will. I will because he is in grave danger and I have to help him out" 

"Why doesn't he trust you!?" 

"He thinks that I am the one who gave Nicholson access to his phone" 

"Oh seriously!? I can't believe this"

He continued driving and I prayed that Robert is alright. I don't know what is happening but he is in danger and now it is confirmed. 

"Please save him, Max," I said. 

"I will. Don't worry, I promise you he will be fine" 

"Thank you, Max. And take care of yourself also" 

"Thanks," he said. 

I kept quiet for the rest of the ride and we soon reached a building. 

"Bye. I am leaving. Call me if you want anything. I have to reach on time" 

"Yes, thank you. Stay safe and keep Robert safe"
