Hide The Secrets novel Chapter 7

MATTEO'S POV

When I enter the Belmont Hotel, Spain, the last person I expected to see was Grace. I looked for her after that night, I even threatened Javier. I know that is ruthless but i wanted Grace and they refused to tell me anything other than she isn't in the city. But here she is, standing in the hotel lobby of my new investment half way across the world. Yes. I've just bought the Belmont.

If it hadn't been for Stella standing next to me and wrapping her snake like arms around my waist I wouldn't have stopped looking Grace over, her brown hair was now a couple shades lighter with natural highlights, her skin is beautifully tanned and radiant. She is wearing a white sundress and... I look down her body, eventually reaching her legs where there is 2 small children, probably twins,wrapped around them. Next to her is a tall, well-built, fairly decent-looking guy. He has his arm wrapped around Grace's waist, they seem to be deep in conversation. The guy looks at her lovingly before running his hand through the young boy's hair. I don't think she has even noticed me here. They look like such a happy little family which makes my heart ache... I want that.

The family all start moving towards the elevator and I know that I need to talk to Grace before I lose her again.

"Hey Stella, I just need to talk to management team. Why don't you go check in to our room?" I Tell Stella, recently her present is beginning to annoy me. "Okay sure..." she heads over to the reception desk and I run to the elevator and shout "HOLD THE DOORS".

A hand slips between the doors before they have chance to close, I walk on. Grace's facial features seem to indicate deep thought when the guy that I'm guessing is her... boyfriend asks Grace, "Hey Honey, you ok? I can put the kids to bed and we can watch a movie?" Anger courses through my body, and jealousy, i know i have no rights to Grace but this guy is starting to fucking annoy me. SHE WAS MINE.

Grace glances down and nods before he pulls her into his side. Now my blood pressure is through the roof. I know what she looks and feels like naked, i remember every curve, freckle and scar that covered her body, i held her close to my body like this guy is doing now.

"Yeah ok.." she replies quietly. He starts rubbing circles on her lower back with his palm, obviously trying to make her feel better. I cant help but think she is so sad and quiet because of my presence.
