Way to treat your mate after she was kidnapped for a week.
"God, I missed you," he grumbled once we had arrived in his room. He wasted no time in rushing over to me and giving me a huge hug.
"Really, you missed me?" I asked reluctantly returning the hug, but still enjoying the touch of his bare skin no matter how sweaty it was.
"Don't let anyone know I said that," he said abruptly breaking from the hug.
Ouch.
"Why? Afraid it'll hurt your ego? What, the warriors will think you're weak? Or what, you'll-"
"SCARLETT, I DON'T WANT YOU TO GET HURT, OK?" he yelled, pushing me into a wall.
"I don't want them to use my mate against me."
And with that somehow his soft lips slipped down onto mine.
At first, I didn't kiss back due to shock, and well, it's him. But when he noticed, he kissed me harder and my wolf was yelling at me to respond to the kiss.
When he realized, I still didn't respond, he pushed on my lips harder, putting his hands around my waist. I tried to swat them away, but my wolf had begun to take control, forcing me to respond to the kiss. It felt like fireworks were exploding. It was like the Fourth of July; even though werewolves don't really celebrate that. His hand trickled through my hair.
Once we parted from the kiss, we were both breathing heavily.
"You look disgusting," was the first thing he said. I rolled my eyes.
"Isn't this where you're supposed to say I'm beautiful no matter what?" I asked him, a smirk playing on my lips.
"True but I'd be lying," he said as a small smile started to make its way to his face.
"Ah well, I think having swollen lips is your thing," I joked as he chuckled.
"Darling, do you want to try and make it bigger?" he asked leaning in.
"No." I slipped out of his grasp. "I'm disgusting, remember?" Smirking and having fun teasing him I made my way to the shower.
I turned on the hot water. It felt good along my body for a matter of seconds before feeling the hot water hit the freshly cut slashes across my body causing me to scream in pain clutching my stomach. I completely forgot about them with Thaddeus, when I was with him all the pain seemed to evaporate. I tried to shut off the shower but slipped in the process while trying to cover my back.
Thaddeus ran in opening the door to the shower. I soon felt the shower cease and a towel cover my body. The water draining out of the shower was mixed with blood. I was yanked up. Seeing Thaddeus yell incoherent things to me, I felt my body loosen, enveloping me into a seemingly never-ending darkness.
When I woke up, there was a strange soreness on my back, my breath hitched as I stretched my hand around to my back. I felt the stitches that had covered up the deep slashes. The memories flooded back to me, and for some reason, a feeling of anger rushed through me. I looked around to see my room deserted. Slowly, I slipped from the bed losing my balance but was able to regain it. I got to the door and opened it going out to the hall.
