The day of the game finally arrived.

Since morning, the atmosphere around campus had been much busier than usual. The semifinal between Miller University and Raven University was one of the games most talked about by the students. Especially since both teams were known as strong rivals. The cheers of the supporters could already be heard even before the game began.

Eli walked out from the direction of the dorm at a relaxed pace. She was wearing a simple outfit with a jacket paired with long pants, but in her hands were several Miller University support items that she had deliberately prepared since morning.

“Of course,” Althea replied with a smile. “How could we miss Josh’s game?”

Grace immediately took one of the support items Eli was carrying. “You brought this?”

“Yes.” Eli handed her a small banner with the words Miller University written on it. “I made it myself.”

“Wow, so you’re really serious about supporting Josh.”

Eli laughed softly. “I already promised I would come.”

“I’m supporting Josh too!” Chase did not want to be outdone. He pulled out a drawing he had made of Josh holding a basketball.

What Chase showed her made Eli smile widely. “Chase is amazing! The drawing is so good.”

Chase looked proud of the praise. Since earlier, almost everyone in his family had praised the way he drew. Including Grace, the sister he loved the most.

Althea, who had been silent all this time, only smiled as she watched everyone’s excitement. She then said, “Daven can’t come today.”

Eli looked intently at Althea. “Mr. Daven must be very busy lately.”

Althea nodded slowly. “You’re right. That’s why besides Daven, Cale and GrandDad will also be arriving a little late later.”

Eli nodded once again. She knew that the three men indeed had matters that could not be left unattended.
