"Stop, don't." I laughed, barley able to make a proper sentence. Maddie just laughed harder almost toppled off the couch before steadying herself and just sat there grinning like an idiot.
"What's so funny?" a deep voice asked from the door and we both turned out heads. Reece and Michael were standing there, leaning against the door frame with their arms crossed and smirking at our childish behaviour. Maddie and I looked over at each other before bursting out into another fit of laughter. And to be honest, nothing was funny. We were laughing about absolutely nothing.
I shook my head no as meaning nothing. Reece seemed to take it for an answer, but Michael just looked suspiciously at me before making his way over to me and fell on the couch beside me. Lazily flopping an arm over my shoulder he sat back and closed his eyes. He looked tired. Reece's mirrored his actions but flung his arm around Maddie and pulled her in for a kiss on the top of her head.
"Hard work?" Maddie asked sympathetically, looking between the two men.
"They were just there to stir up some trouble." Reece answered. "Massive pains in the ass but we eventually got them into cells. Turns out there was nine of them." Reece said and Maddie's eyes bulged.
"Nine?" she asked in disbelief as I just looked at Michael. Nine didn't sound like to many, but hey! What did I know?
"Yeah. Bastards thought with nine they wouldn't get caught, but Mikey chased them down and found where they were camped out." Reece said with pride in his voice.
"What can I say, I'm amazing." Michael jokingly responded.
"Sure Mikey," Reece said and started grinning when a low growl erupted from the back of Michael's throat.
"Stop fucking calling me that. We're not twelve anymore." Michael said annoyed. Maddie and I both laughed at the relationship between the two. When Michael said they were really like brothers, he wasn't lying.
"Mikey" Reece said again with a small smirk on his face. Another growl came from Michael.
"Mikey."
"Reece," Michael said as a warning.
"Mikey,"
"Reece, I swear to Go-"
"Mikey," Reece taunted laughing and before I knew it Michael was off his seat and lunging at Reece.
The two crashed on to the floor and started rolling around, throwing friendly punches and head locks like six year olds. The sight of two fully grown men rolling on the ground play fighting was quite a sight. Maddie moved over to the couch I was on and sat next to me as we watched with amusement as the two men fought, shaking our heads in disbelief.
"You know, his much more happy and playful now his found you," she quietly whispered to me as Michael rolled out from under Reece and onto the top of the pile, throwing a playful punch into Reece's side. My cheeks instantly heated up at what I assumed was a compliment and muttered a thanks.
Eventually we had to break up the fight because it looked like none of the boys would be giving up anytime soon.
"I would have won," Reece muttered as Maddie pulled him off the ground.
"Just because you older than me by three months doesn't mean you're better," Michael muttered back as I led him to the couch I was on.
"Does so,"
"Does not."
"Does so."
"Does not."
"BOYS!" Maddie, yelled getting both of them to shut up instantly. "That's better." She said with a smug smile happy for the moment of peace and no bickering.
"Mikey," I leaned over and whispered it teasingly into Michael's ear. It felt funny to say the nickname. Before today I didn't know he know how too much around and be a kid and the thought of such a childish nickname would make me laugh. Now that I knew he took jokes, the nickname sounded appealing. A low growl came from Michael as his deep brown eye bored into mine.
"Don't call him that or else you be on the floor next," Reece joked.
"M?"
He raised his eyebrows. "That's a nickname for a girl called Emily," he stated dryly.
"Well than what about something that isn't to do with Michael?" Maddie suggested. "Like hulk?" she said with a grin.
"Fuck no." Michael spat before anyone could put in their opinion.
"Tank?"
"Grump?"
"MB?"
"Loner?"
"Asshole?"
"Dickhead?"
"Mr Pms?"
"Oi! These aren't even nicknames anymore. You're just paying me out." He grumpily said and everyone burst out laughing.
"Nah, I like Mikey the best." I said sweetly.
"Only you can call me that and get away with it," Michael said with a small smile playing on his lips.
