The two and a bit hour drive was painfully slow as I drove up alone. Reece left to go back to Maddie and his pack as soon as he told me the news. He couldn't stand being away from her and as soon as I agreed it looked like a weight had been lift off his shoulders. But I was still faced with another situation.

How was I supposed to help him?

If I could take a guess at the situation I would say he would be even angrier when he sees me. My decision made him the mess he is now and I wasn't sure how he would react.

I stopped at the red light and waited impatiently for it to turn green. I was at an intersection, and these lights had the reputation of being very slow to change over. As I was tapping my thumbs to the beat of the music impatiently, a knock on my window snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked out my window which was already three quarters wound down to see the last person I wanted to see.

"Alana, looking beautiful as always," Richard Coleman greeted me. I shot him a dirty look as was about to wind the window up to avoid conversation with him but he stared talking again.

"You made the right decision to leave him you know?" I froze at his words. "I must say, it was quite a scene you two made on the beach. Your lucky people weren't around you." He laughed as if it was a joke but my blood ran cold.

"You were watching to see what my decision was?" I questioned angrily which he once again laughed to.

"I do admit it makes me sound like a stalker but I needed to know your decision." He said amused by my anger.

"Fuck you, you're a creep." I spat at him and glanced at the lights. Still Red.

"Now, Now Alana, no need to be snappy. I'm just making conversation."

"Well I don't want to talk."

"So tell me, you're not by any chance going to see him are you?" He asked in a happy voice but I could see the gleam in his eyes saying he needed to know as well as a warning look.

"Why would I tell you?" I answered.

"I know you won't tell me, but my warning still stands. Even if you rejected him you still can't be around him."

I felt nervous and uncomfortable so I glanced up at the lights to find that it was now green. Sighing in relief, I looked forwards ready to drive off but a cold clammy hand grabbed my wrist harshly.

I stared in horror into the eyes of Richard and they were filled with nothing but anger. "If I catch you with him, you're dead." He seethed. His grip tightened as his nails jabbed into my skin. I held in a whimper as he pinned me with his gaze.

"Humans don't need to be involved with were wolves, I'm warning you to protect you." He hissed.

With one last tightening of his grip on my wrist he let go and walked over to his car that was parked on the side of the road on the opposite side. I stared in horror at him. The few passing cars didn't even give a second glance at the situation unfolding.

"Last warning," he mouthed before jumping into his car and driving off.

I nodded my head not trusting myself to speak yet.

Maddie stopped walking and turned to face me. She reached and grabbed for my wrist and I hissed slightly at where she touched.

Right where her grip was, was where Richard grabbed my arm in the car. His nails had dug into my skin and the small cuts looked slightly infected already. My wrist was a light shade of purple and I gulped when Maddie's eyes widen.

I'm surprised nobody had noticed because I was only in a singlet top and my wrists were exposed, but I suppose there are bigger issues at hand than my wrist.

"Who did it?" She questioned with a small growl in her voice. Her eyes were boing into mine, filled with concern and I could see why everyone in the pack respected her as Luna. She was so concerned for everyone, pack or not.

"It's nothing," I mumbled. When I felt her eyes still on me sighed and caved in. "Richard Coleman. Does the name ring a bell?" Instantly it clicked with everyone and they gasped.

"He wants to hurt Michael because Mikey attacked him in the forest and he said he would kill me if I stay with him. It's one reason why we ended. But I saw him today and he warned me once again to stay away." I said, my voice wavering slightly from fear.

"Alana," Maddie comfortingly said but I shook my head "no."

"Maddie, I need to deal with this myself." I said firmly. "So what were you saying?" I changed the topic.
