"Do not to be afraid of me." He growled at me. "I can protect you, keep you safe." It's like he didn't understand his own words and how wrong it sounded.

"You, you're the type of thing that I need to be protected from." I stated, backing up even further. I didn't know what I was talking about now, but I followed my gut feeling and knew this guy and that wolf had something to do with each other. No, you're delusional! I yelled at myself in my mind.

He started growling again and grabbed my waist pulling me into him. "I will never hurt you, and even if I wanted to, I couldn't do it. It is impossible for me to intentionally hurt you."

"Intentionally hurt me you say is impossible. What would happen if you unintentionally hurt me?" I said mainly to myself, but loud enough for him to hear me.

"Then I would spend the rest of my life trying to make it up to you." He whispered. His dark eyes bored into my light brown eyes and made me shy away.

I stared at my feet which had suddenly became the most interesting thing on the planet. I felt rough fingers gently grabbing my chin and directed my head to face back up at him.

Once again, our eyes connected and his brown eyes flashed red only for a second. If I had blinked, I doubt I would have seen the fast colour change. Bewildered, I did the only thing I knew, and was told to do in a situation; I kicked, screamed and ran.

I swiftly raised my right knee in the air and connected it with the spot no male could stand the pain. When his face screwed up in pain and let go of me to cradle his goods, I screamed at the top of my lungs and ran as fast as my legs could take me to the van.

I could see the blue van in front of me and I could hear the man running behind me. Clicking the button to unlock the van, I reached for the door, threw it open and slammed it shut behind me before locking every door and possible entry to the vehicle. I shoved the keys into the ignition and slammed my foot onto the accelerator. The screeching of tires could be heard as I sped out of the car park and onto the highway.

Cursing, I realized I had dropped the bag of cookies on the ground when trying to run away. They were my only food source and with the loudness my stomach created, it indicated that I needed to make a food stop.

5 minutes later of driving, I pulled off the highway and into a McDonalds drive through. Usually I hated McDonalds, but I was too scared to leave the vehicle. I ordered two large chips, chocolate milkshake and a 30 cent ice cream cone. As soon as I had picked my food up from the window, I was on my way again.

The 30 cent cone was the first thing to be inhaled. Next went one of the large chips and some of the milkshake, another large chips and the last of the milkshake. By the time I had inhaled all of my food that left my stomach and taste buds satisfied, I was only half way back home.

This is going to be a long drive.
