I pulled into the loading zone out the back of the work building and was greeted by a grinning Sally. "Thank you so much darling! You're a life saver." She grinned at me as I stumbled out of the van. As soon as I had enough room around me, I stretched outwards in an attempt to uncramp my stiff muscles. Even though I had only been sitting down for about two and a bit hours, I was still aching all over.

"I hope it wasn't too much trouble?" She asked me politely.

What I wanted to say was "Of course it was too much trouble. I found out I was a nutter. I met someone who had the same eyes as a wolf and who growled like one to, so after 2 and a half hours of thinking; which was a horrible idea to do, I'm pretty sure some mythical creature isn't as much as a myth as we all think. So pretty much, I talked to a werewolf, kicked a werewolf in the balls, almost drove off the highway thanks to the werewolf, ate McDonalds; a food which I hate because I dropped the cookies because I had to run away from a werewolf, I was too scared to leave the van in case of meeting another werewolf or the same crazy werewolf from Apollo Bay and was paranoid the whole drive home. So no, no trouble at all." I would have answered sarcastically and all in one breathe.

But instead of answering sarcastically, I said "No trouble at all," with a forced smile on my face.

"Did you stop by and see the back beach?" She asked me.

Did I ever, I replied in my head but said out loud "I did. It's something isn't it?"

"It is. Absolutely beautiful. It's always deserted. Let me know if you want to go surfing down there and I'll give you another load to pick up from the warehouse."

There's no way in hell I'm going back there, I thought to myself. "Thanks Sally, I'll let you know if I do or not." I replied, giving no definite answer.

"That's good hunny, just help Lenny and Jacob unload the lighter stuff and you're free to go home." She grinned at me. With a nod of my head, I grabbed a medium sized box filled with tee-shirts and walked through the double doors leading inside the building to drop them off in the back storage room while passing Lenny and Jacob on the way.

After bringing 7 boxes from the van to the backroom, I said bye to everybody and headed home for a well-deserved sleep. As soon as I made it home, I practically ran inside and flopped down on the couch and landed with a thud.

"Miss me that much Alana?" A smug voice asked me as I flopped down onto something hard. A leg to be exact. My whole body tensed up and I sprang up and off the couch. My breathing was irregular, coming out in short sharp pants. "Calm down there love, I'm not that scary." He said again.

"Tanner, one day I will murder you." I cursed at him through gritted teeth. "What are you doing here?" I asked impatiently but a small part of me was glad I wasn't left alone in the house. He chuckled at my tone of annoyance. My brother Blake was still at work, so he had no reason to be here.

"I got bored and thought I'd come chill with you and your boof-head of a brother when he gets home. That, and I ran out of food." He said with a huge grin and nodded towards the coffee table. Sitting on the coffee table in a huge pile of mess was a can of coke; empty and knocked over, a plate with what looked like tomato sauce and bread crumbs, a bowl with white stuff in it (which I'm assuming to be yoghurt), a spoon and knife lying on the table and a half empty bag of chicken chips with half the contents lying on the coffee table.
