His lock on me didn't falter or loosen at any point. As I shifted to move my arms to wrap around him, his grip on me tightened. It was a struggle to free my arms and Michael must have thought I was trying to get away from him. The growls increased as I moved and got to a point where I winced from the loud sound right above my ear.

"Michael, it's okay." I whispered to him. Finally I got my arms free and wrapped them around his torso. Instantly the growls quietened to just a low background noise. I buried my face into his bare chest, feeling his breaths gradually turn even and controlled. My arm gently rubbed up and down the spine of his back as we just stood, not conversing and just hugging.

For the past few minutes I could slowly feel the coldness from the concrete floor making its way through the thin layer I had protecting my feet from the coldness. The rooms had no heat source of any type and my feet had gotten to a point where they were kind of painful to stand on.

"Michael?" I softly spoke after a while. A soft hum from him let me know he was listening. "Can we sit down or go to bed? The cold is going through my socks and my feet are freezing."

He pulled the top half of his body back and he frowned down on me, and I was glad to see that his eyes had dimmed down slightly. I was missing his beautiful brown eyes but it made me hopeful that they were now just a pale red colour.

"Of course," he nodded. Letting out a small shriek, I kicked my legs around awkwardly as Michael picked me up. His hands gripped under my thighs as he carried me over to where my bed was.

"Put me down, put me down." I protested as he walked. I moved my body so he would loosen his grip but it seemed pointless and his grip didn't falter. As soon as we were at my bed I self-consciously jumped out of his hold and scooted away.

I knew I wasn't what you'd call fat, but since my legs were thicker than most girls it put excess weight on me. I was half fine with walking around in wet suits and bathers, but ever since I was 13 and my muscle started showing up I became very self-conscious when people picked me up. It was something I couldn't help.

"You don't weight a lot." Michael said with a frown on his face and told me like he knew what I was thinking about.

"Muscle adds weight and makes you heavier, so I hate being picked up." I muttered and tightened my pony tail awkwardly not wanting to talk about an insecurity I have. One again he frowned but dropped the subject and I was thankful for that.

"You've calmed down." I pointed out breaking the silence. He stiffly nodded his head and I wasn't sure on what to do or say now. I rubbed my arms from the cold absent mindly. Michael was still standing in front of me and he didn't look like he was moving anywhere.

"Sooooo," I said to break the silence. He looked at me curiously and I could swear I saw a flash of amusement on his face as he noticed I had nothing to say.

He shook his head no and continued hurrying the bed making process.

"How are you not cold?" I asked curiously.

"My wolf doesn't feel the temperature. For him it's always a warm feeling and since his most in control I feel what he feels." He said with a shrug. He stood up and looked down at what he had just created.

He placed the second bed so the legs were locked together to prevent the beds from splitting apart in the middle of the night. The sleeping bag was spread across the two beds whilst the thin pillows were at the head of the beds.

I watched as Michael bent down and started going through the bag Maddie had packed for me. He pulled out a pair of socks I didn't know were in there and tapped my leg. I was sitting on the end of the bed and watched in amazement as he picked up my foot so he could put the socks on my feet for me.
