They were over top of the previous ones I was wearing so I had extra warmth, and I couldn't help but feel amazed at his attitude. He was super angry only about half an hour ago, throwing stuff around the room and now he was being gently and putting socks on my feet. It confused me slightly but I was glad he was being gentle and not angry.

As he stood up, I scooted over to the bars and pulled the sleeping bag over my body, only reaching up to my waist as I sat and looked at Michael. He slipped in next to me and put his head down on the thin pillow, releasing a small sigh. I watched him as he closed his eyes, for once looking relaxed. I couldn't help but smile slightly from how perfect he looked at the moment, claws gone and red eyes hidden. He looked like a regular human being and I was happy he looked at peace for the moment.

His eyes snapped open to look at mine, the dim red silently pleading me to not change my mind and kick him out. I smiled even more down at him and moved my body into a horizontal position, facing him and just looking into his eyes.

It was only around midnight at the latest so none of us were dead tired. We didn't really speak much but enjoyed the safeness and comfort of each other. I still couldn't understand why I still felt this connection with the bond broken. I thought rejecting mates would detach the feelings for one another completely but maybe it wasn't the bond.

Maybe we had developed feelings for each other, feelings that the bond didn't force us to have.

About an hour later and still many words weren't shared. Sleep still hadn't fallen upon any of us. The closeness of his body took away the feeling of the cold and I felt warm and safe laying next to him. Warm puffs of air fell on my forehead as he breathed steadily.

In a split second, lying next to him went from feeling safe to feeling slightly intimate. I awkwardly cleared my throat and looked down, averting my gaze from him. From looking down I was met with the wonderful sight of his toned upper body and I mentally scolded myself. I huffed slightly and decided on closing my eyes.

An amused huff came from Michael and I went against my better judgement and slowly opened my eyes and looked shyly at him. I'm not sure why the atmosphere had changed so suddenly and I wasn't sure how I felt about it.

His gaze flickered from my eyes down to my lips, making my breath catch in my throat. Before I knew it, I was looking at his full pink lips, dying to feel them once again. We both knew we were in a moment but none of us had the will power to snap out of it.

Hesitantly, he leaned in. I watched as his lips slowly came down, closer and closer to mine and I felt myself craving to kiss him. My eyes flickered back up to his eyes and the pale red scanned my eyes looking for a sign. For anything.

His lips were hovering above mine, his hot breath fanning my lips and I found it even more captivating. None of us made a move, we just lay there in silence wondering if we should do this or not. It was almost like torture, being so close to him, so close to the intimacy we both craved.

Breaking for air, Michael's lips left mine taking in an uneven breath before attaching to my skin. He travelled down my jaw and neck, then gently kissed my collarbones, nibbling slightly on this skin then using his tongue to swipe over the area and kiss away the slight pain from the love bights.

My hands rose and traced the lines on his torso, my fingers dipping into the defined lines. The hard muscle underneath my skin felt him shudder slightly from my touch and I couldn't help but smile, wondering how I could have such an effect on someone like Michael. Moving one hand from his torso, I brought it up to his chin to guide his lips back to mine.

The room all the sudden increased in temperature and I sat up slightly and I felt Michael's hands run across my back. Before I knew it, my singlet top was discarded on the floor and I was left in some tacky sports bra that I was sleeping in.

It was plain black and like a thick half singlet but Michael didn't seem to mind and I was glad of it. It just proves that as long as it's not just a fling, it doesn't matter that under garments the other person wears.

His hands slipped down to my waist as he tugged the leggings away from my hips and slowly down my legs. The whole time his lips didn't leave mine and I wrapped both arms around his neck, pulling his head down deepening the kiss.
