I had yet to fall asleep. Michael was peacefully sleeping beside me with small snores leaving his parted lips every so often and I couldn't help but smile, finally seeing him at some sort of peace. We were under the sleeping bag, Michael flat on his back and me on my side facing him with his strong arm draped over my waist pulling me in tight to his firm body.

As I lay awake I wasn't thinking. I was just enjoying the moment we had going on between the two of us, not regretting a single thing that happened that night. I was fiddling with Michael's fingers that were loosely hanging onto my hand. I know that I wasn't going to be sleeping any time soon. I couldn't help but feel happy, complete in a way.

Michael shifted slightly in his sleep, repositioning his body to practically lying on top of mine. I would have loved his however he was crushing my arm. Sitting up slightly, I went to shove Michael slightly off my arm but he only pulled me back in tighter to his body as if he thought I was trying to leave him. Scoffing and shaking my head I tried again.

"What are you doing?" Michael mumbled, his voice groggy with sleep and from just waking up.

"You're crushing my arm." I said and tried wriggling my arm emphasizing the fact that it was stuck.

"Sorry Love." Michael shifted his body weight once more and finally I could move my arm. I smiled up at him which he happily returned. That is until he frowned in confusion at me. "What the," he muttered, releasing his arm from my waist and bringing his thumb up to my neck rubbing the skin in awe.

"What?" I questioned him trying to look down but was unable to see my neck.

"My mark." He muttered now propping himself up on his arm. "It's there."

"What?" I questioned again this time fully sitting up to face him. Rubbing my fingers over my neck I felt no mark or any change in my skin texture.

"I didn't. I swear." He said in disbelief shaking his head. "I didn't mark you. At least not when we just had sex. I swear I didn't." He muttered shaking his head side to side in disbelief. Finally he looked into my eyes as if it would find some kind of answer and I couldn't control that gasp.

"Your eyes. There brown again." I smiled up at him happy that his wolf was finally at bay. Even though I was ecstatic about Michael finally returning to normal the mark appearing on my neck was playing in the back of my mind.

"What?" He hissed narrowing his eyes in confusion. "What is happening? This is fucked up. My wolf feels at rest, my eyes are normal. All I want to do is protect you even more than I previously did and your mark had magically reappeared on your neck." He pointed out listing that facts.

"If our bond didn't break properly," he asked after a moment of silence. "Did us sleeping together mean it healed? Like if you tear a muscle. It's never fully broken and after time it joins back together. What if mating joined the bond back together in a way?"

"Baby, if I ever see Jess again she is going to regret doing that with me more than I already do." He promised.

Knowing that Alpha Reece was going to be coming back to the cells any minute, I reluctantly untangled myself from Michael embrace as he walked back into the cell. I locked the door behind him and went to my original spot sitting against the wall, only I didn't leave any space between us. We were both pressed up against the bar and holding each other's hand, sitting in silence and just looking at each other lost in the moment and lost in each other's eyes as corny as it sounds.

The sound of the steel door opening made me jump slightly but Michael's thumb instantly started tracing soothing circles into my palm, causing myself to relax.

"What the fuck is going on here?!" Reece exclaimed. "I told you his dangerous and to not go within a meter of him." He hissed, storming up to where I was sitting. Grabbing me by the arm roughly, he shoved me behind his body.

Instantly Michael was on his feet and growling threatening at Reece, his eyes back to bright red and claws replacing his fingers.

"Let her go right now or I will fucking end you Reece. Brother or not." Michael growled sending shivers down my spine. Reece however just scoffed and folded his arms over his chest.
