Ashley

The car kept on moving and I just looked out of the window. I didn't reply to his congratulations. What could I have said? I am still not happy without Lara.

For the first time, I found the buildings around the car really interesting. The site looked extra beautiful--

"Ashy"

I turned towards him. "Huh?"

"Where are you lost?"

"I... um..."

"We got married, today, I don't think I need to remind you that"

"I-I am sorry"

"I didn't ask you to be sorry"

Well, don't expect me to do exactly as you ask, huh.

I stayed quiet as I didn't know what to say.

"Ashley, we are going out on vacation tomorrow. Make sure you pack your stuff"

"T-tomorrow?"

"You don't have hearing issues, right? So trust yourself"

I nodded. I am so tired of everything and still, I will have to do this. This is just so stupid and ridiculous. I don't even understand him. During the wedding, he was so sweet and now suddenly, only God knows what happened. Or maybe he was just putting up the act. But it all felt so real. The way he said those words, the way he kissed me... it was so... sweet.

It is just, this all couldn't be fake that instant.

"When we'll reach our house" I looked at him as he spoke. "I want you to behave"

"What do you mean by behaving?"

"Well, listen to me"

"Is anybody else there?"

"No"

"Okay"

The car stopped after a while and I looked out at a beautiful house. "Come out if you're done staring"

I got out of the car embarrassed and looked at the house again. This is so beautiful!

He went and opened the door using, I guess, an iris sensor. Why is this sensor so famous? Everyone use it?

I went behind him and the house from inside was beautiful too. It looked equally comfortable too.

"As it is almost night, I want you to have some rest and do the packing tomorrow, Ashy"

I nodded. "We'll leave at 2 PM tomorrow. Adjust accordingly"

"W-Where are we going? I-I mean, do I have to pack summer clothes or winter...?"

"Paris"

"W-Woah, really?"

"Ashley, do I look like someone who'd joke?"

"N-No, it is just... that is one of the places I always wanted to go to"

"Good then"

I nodded my head. "Okay, come on"

"Huh?"

"Come" he started moving towards the stairs and I followed him.

He opened the door to his room as we reached upstairs. I was somewhat confused...

"Today's our wedding night" I heard him say. "Don't tell me you were planning on sleeping in another room"

I looked at him shocked. "W-What? I am not sleeping here!"

"Come on, trust me. I am not gonna do anything" he smirked.

"Won't you change?"

"I-I... um... I don't have any clothes here..." I looked down.

"Why?"

"Did you forget I was kidnapped?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Nah"

"So..."

"You have your clothes here. Check the closet and change in whatever you like"

I got up slowly and walked towards the closet. As I opened it, I saw many clothes kept there.

I sat down to take out my clothes from the last section of the closet. I saw there were tops and lowers. I could change into them.

The top was a turtleneck and I found the clothes to be more decent than I expected. I smiled slightly and went to the bathroom to change.

I changed. The top was light blue and the lower was black. It looked cute.

I came out and went near the bed. He looked at me for a moment before continuing to use his phone.

"You're cute" those words left his mouth leaving me bewildered.

Oh sure, that is just until I haven't washed my face. I went to the bathroom again and washed my face.

I came out and expected him to say something like... 'let me take my words back'

"Cuter"

I looked at him wide-eyed. What is wrong with him?

"Mhm, but don't stare. Now sleep"

I looked down. Oh God, just stop staring at him every time!

"Hm..." I went to the bed slowly and laid down.

After a minute, he put down his phone and laid it down. After a minute, I was shocked when I found his arms circling around me.
