Vincent
"Heather?" I asked him.
"Yes! She is the one who sent me all those photos and made me believe all the lies. And I came to know you two were working together!"
"We were but not this!" I yelled at the wrong accusation. "The only thing I made her do was to bring Lara!"
"Do we believe him?" He looked at Ashley. I raged as he referred to him and Ash as 'we'.
"There is no 'we' in us" She swiftly said and a small smile appeared on my lips. "and yes, I believe him"
"Damn!" He pulled her but I pulled her back and she landed on my chest. "She is not a toy that you are snatching her like that!"
"Same goes for you! She believed me, Vincent. You know I mean more to her!"
"There's nothing like this, Vincent..." I heard her whisper.
"She trusted me over you, brother and you have to accept the truth"
"Vincent..." She whispered but I pushed her away. Not because of what Chris said, but that was the truth too.
"Vincent..." She took my hand. "I really... I am sorry"
"You know what, Chris?" I ignored her and looked at him. "Heather did right to you. However, by the pain she caused Ashley, she is a common enemy"
"That's--"
Before he could say anything, I grabbed Ashley's arm and went out. She didn't say anything and just moved along.
I left her in front of the car and went to sit down on the driver's seat. She also made it towards the passenger's seat.
The car started but she didn't dare say anything. I sighed. "Did you really get those vibes from me? Did you really feel that I would..." my voice trailed down. I have never even touched her without her permission.
"No... I swear no"
"Then you should have believed me"
"Lara..." she sighed. "Did she tell you this?"
"Yes"
"She... She is working with Chris"
"What?" The car stopped. She looked at me. "So you didn't say that I used to do that? You didn't believe it? That was a lie?"
"yes... I... okay, see... I was ninety-nine percent sure you didn't... but it was past so I... I thought maybe..."
"Damn it" the car started. "I don't wanna see her face in our house"
"Will... will you let me ask her why she did it?"
"Yes"
"Thanks"
I didn't say anything. I was still angry about it. But I was more concerned about this Lara thing. Why would she lie and destroy her sister's relationship?
We reached our home and I stopped the car. She got out and I followed her. She looked enraged.
She rang the doorbell. "Calm down" I whispered.
"I am sorry, I can't" She looked at the gate but no one opened the door.
She nodded back. I was furious and I knew just what to do.
I went downstairs and then to my car. I drove to Chris.
"You bastard! Where did you take Lara!" I yelled as I entered his house forcefully. Alarms beeped inside the house and I saw him coming out with a gun.
"What the hell do you think you are doing!?" He yelled.
"Where the hell is Lara!?"
"I don't know!" he yelled back. "How the hell am I supposed to know? And will you stop yelling like a maniac!?"
I calmed down. "You don't know?"
"Yes, I don't!" he said. "Why don't you even think that I will do something to her?"
I sighed. Somewhere I felt like he wasn't lying. I handed him the note.
"I found this"
He read it and scoffed. "What happened?" I asked him.
"I know who did this"
"Who?"
"Our common enemy"
"Heather?"
