"Ah no. Let's talk for some time!"

"Sure! Now you are not gonna leave soon anyway"

"Aha sure"

We laughed and talked for some time. She sounded a little nervous but maybe it was because we were meeting after a long time. "So how are things with you and Victor?" I asked her.

"Great. He recently proposed for our marriage"

"Wow that's great"

"Yeah!" She laughed. "I am so excited. But tell me, what happened to you and Vincent?"

"Well, we are good, but he had some work to do. Actually..." I sighed. I didn't wanna hide anything from her so I started. "There is someone who wants to keep us apart... and well he is gonna fight with him... that is all I know actually"

"Ah, like a hero?"

"Yep" I smiled.

"Great to know"

I laughed. "Hm-mh"

"But there is something you should know" she sounded sad.

"What happened?" I asked her.

"I didn't like... research, but here is something about him..."

"Him? Vincent?"

"Yeah..."

I looked at her. "What's it?"

She took out some file from her suitcase. "This"

I took the file. "okay"

I opened it and my heartbeat raced as I read the headings.

"What?" I looked at her. "This..."

"Yeah..."

"This is impossible'' I was confident. I gave the file back to her. "Might be some mistake"

"There is no mistake," she looked down. "I am confident"

"Lara but..." I sighed. "This isn't possible. He isn't that kind of man. You know... I...I am still a virgin. Even after our marriage and everything, he never..."

"I know" she looked at me. "I am not saying anything, I just wanted to tell you the truth, that's it"

I took the file from her hand again. "uh..."

"Hm..." she said.

"This is...uh... unbelievable. You know he just doesn't fit the vibe of someone who'd do this..."

"Oh..."

I sighed. "Okay, I'll keep this file and ask him once he returns, okay?"

"Yeah" she smiled.

"Okay don't ruin your mood" she said and got up. "I'll make something for you"

"Let's cook together" I kept the file down and walked to the kitchen.

I was laughing but deep inside, I was wondering if any of it could be true. I mean, Lara brought it so there has to be some truth in it.

I smirked more as my plan seemed to work. I rang the doorbell of her house.

The door opened and it was Ashley.

"Why-why are you here?"

I closed the door and sighed. "Won't you welcome me?" I looked around to see lara.

"You are not welcomed here" she retaliated.

I went inside. "Hello, I am the CEO of Brown's association" I smirked at Lara.

She looked at me scared. "H-Hello"

"You don't need to be nervous," I sat down myself. "Ms. Lara"

She nodded hesitantly and the smirk never left my face. Ash came to me. "You know what, get out"

"ah don't humiliate me in front of my fan"

"Fan!?"

I looked at Lara and she looked at her too. Lara's eyes widened. "Aren't you my fan, Ms. Lara?"

"Uh-uh... I-I am..."

"see" I looked at Ash. "Now you can't bring trivial matters here when your sister wants to see me"

"She already saw you, now you can go"

"You want me to stay, don't you?" I looked at her again and she just glared at me. I laughed.

"See, you are putting your sister in a difficult situation. She wants me to stay but she doesn't wanna go against you. Come on, be mature and lets not let your personal matters hamper your sister's wishes"
