Ivy stared at Owen in disbelief. "What do you mean Mike disappeared?"

She slapped Owen across the face and continued, "You're useless! How can you fail to take care of just one person?"

Ivy had planned to make Mike disappear on the day he resigned. Mike knew too many of their secrets, as well as who she really was. He simply could not be allowed to live.

But now, Mike had vanished into thin air. It meant that he had become a ticking time bomb that could explode at any moment, potentially blowing up the entire PZ Group.

Ivy spoke up with irritation. "Everything had been going so well. Why are there so many problems coming up one after another? I have a really bad feeling about this."

Owen replied, "Don't worry, Ms. Sterling. There are just minor incidents. Mike won't stay hidden for long. Our men will take care of him."

"Deal with all of this immediately, or none of us will be getting out of this alive."

Ivy sat alone on the hospital bed as a feeling of unease crept into her heart. She had not suffered any major loss for years aside from almost getting taken down by Mia's father back then.

It had been a very long time since she had felt such danger. Meanwhile, Laura was lying drunk on the bed in the five-star hotel room, surrounded by luxury goods.

Suddenly, someone burst into her room, grabbed a bottle of red wine off the table, and splashed Laura with it.

Laura woke up in a fury. "Who the fuck are you? How dare you break in here?! I'll call the police on you!"

However, her expression shifted immediately upon recognizing Owen. She immediately got up and spoke up respectfully. "Mr. Jenkins? What brings you here?"

The true mastermind of PZ Group was an extremely mysterious person who could not be seen by ordinary folks.

Owen, however, was the direct assistant to that very mysterious figure itself. "Do you see what you've done? The boss is furious!"
