But Selene was already heading into the kitchen, with Adrian trailing right behind her.

"Your brother-in-law told me not to push my luck," Adrian said, his voice a low purr. "So how about I give you a shoulder rub? You cook for me, I'll massage you. A fair trade, wouldn't you say?"

The man's voice was intoxicating, sending a warm tingle through Selene's ears.

"You really know how to push it," she said with a laugh in her voice.

"Behave," Selene admonished him gently, "or my brother will throw you out."
