Miranda replied, "Thanks for that."
The smile playing on Elian's lips deepened slightly. "No problem."
Miranda had been planning to do just that. Listening to Alistair's nonsense, she could barely hold herself back. But she hadn't expected Elian to jump in first.
Their exchange left Alistair looking even more discomfited. He had never been in such a humiliating position before, never treated in this way. His pride felt like it was being stomped into the dirt.
"Mr. Ashcroft, this is a family matter," he said coldly to Elian.
Elian retorted just as coldly, "A family matter? Does she even recognize you as family? You're deluding yourself."
Alistair gritted his teeth, but given Elian's reputation, even after being kicked, he didn't dare lash out.
He turned to Miranda, his voice grim. "I've delivered the message. You can think about it. If you can't stand Arabella, I'll work on keeping her out of your sight."
His last words lingered for a moment, a personal offer not backed by the rest of the Hawke family.
If Miranda would acknowledge him as her brother and return to the Hawke family, he would deal with Arabella.
With that, Alistair spun on his heel, ready to leave. Elian's gaze followed him icily, his eyes carrying a chill.
Miranda spoke up, her voice dripping with sarcasm, "The real disgusting ones aren't just Arabella. It's all of you."
Alistair's steps faltered.
"From the day I returned to the Hawke family, it was your actions, your enabling of Arabella's actions against me, that severed any blood ties we might have had."
Her eyes were cold as she enunciated each word, "In a way, you all are the real murderers. Every single one of you will end up in hell. There's no escape."
She curled her lips into a chilly arc. "It's what you deserve."
Elian curled his lips upwards. "Not as much as he's afraid of Sebastian."
Miranda was left speechless.
As if. There was no comparison there.
"I'm heading back," she said, turning towards the villa's entrance.
Elian's gaze followed her closely, until Miranda neared the door.
"Miranda."
His voice was unusually serious. Miranda paused, halting in her tracks.

The readers' comments on the novel: Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back
In what world was it ever okay for people to like people who hit and punch them? Miranda deserves someone who doesn't hit people, she needs someone who commands respect through kindness, who could show her a world where people respond more to kindness. All this shows is that it's all about money. There was no character development for Elian. He is the typical boring man, tough but soft for the heroine. Seb is the typical mysterious, quiet and strong. Can you introduce another character who would really pique Miranda's interest from the start please. All the stories I've ever read are about strong people getting together, kings, alphas, queens, powered individuals. What about someone ordinary but not too ordinary, someone middle class but hard-working, someone relatable? Okay ,rant over, bye...
I liked it before but her choosi g Elian made it boring pretty fast. He is too childish in front of her. It's your story though. I was hoping she'd neither choose Elian nor Sebastian but someone else. They are now too overpowered, it was getting redundant to read that they're the best at everything. Too much of a power couple is too much. Bye!...
Will there be an update soon please...
