Sebastian stood frozen in place, his voice cutting like a cold wind. "And you think your little tricks are amusing?"
Elian didn’t bother denying his actions. "I find them quite entertaining," he replied with a grin, a trace of victorious satisfaction in his tone.
He sometimes thought of himself as a bit of a scoundrel, but so what? He was getting closer to his goal, and there was no way he’d back down in front of someone eyeing the woman he adored. He intended to make it clear that the competition was over before it began. He couldn’t afford to feel uneasy, even in the military, worrying someone might swoop in and steal his girl.
Sebastian adjusted his glasses, his face set in a cool, hard expression that could chill a glass of whiskey. "It’s not over till it’s over, Elian. How do you know you’ve won?"
Elian met his gaze, steady and unyielding. "I’ll always be the winner."
Sebastian smirked, glancing back briefly. "You think you’re worthy of her? Using playground tactics in front of her, don’t you feel ashamed?"
Elian’s eyes iced over. "I’m more than worthy!"
Their stares clashed like swords, each recognizing the challenge in the other’s eyes.
"Elian, your luck won’t last forever," Sebastian muttered darkly before turning on his heel, heading towards his car.
Elian watched him go, his gaze cold as winter. It wasn’t until Sebastian vanished from sight that he turned his attention to the sprawling estate. That guy was clearly after Miranda.
He and Sebastian had been at odds since their youth, but his dislike for Sebastian wasn’t just about their rivalry. It was the duplicity in Sebastian’s nature that bothered him. Despite this, Elian had always maintained a ‘live and let live’ approach. Yet he knew there were murky secrets within the Everhart family, whispers he had only partially heard. That’s why Sebastian’s interest in Miranda was so unsettling—Elian couldn’t give him the slightest chance.
Miranda had just returned home when her phone buzzed with a message from Sebastian, arranging a consultation. [Sorry, I didn’t mention it earlier. I’d prefer to keep it discreet.]
Miranda understood, respecting his wish for privacy. She replied with a simple emoji before setting her phone down. But almost immediately, Elian’s messages began popping up on her screen.
[Wife.]
[Are you in your room?]
[What are you doing?]
[Next time, give him a jab with the needle?]
[Don’t get me wrong, I’m not jealous because he touched your hand.]
[Where did you go?]
Miranda sighed. Since when had Elian become so chatty and long-winded? She could hardly picture him acting this way in the military.
Amidst the bombardment of messages, she finally replied, [Yeah. About to take a shower.]
After sending this, there was a long pause. Just as she was about to put her phone down and head for the shower, it chimed again.
[Shower together next time?] it read.
Miranda’s eyes widened in surprise.

The readers' comments on the novel: Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back
In what world was it ever okay for people to like people who hit and punch them? Miranda deserves someone who doesn't hit people, she needs someone who commands respect through kindness, who could show her a world where people respond more to kindness. All this shows is that it's all about money. There was no character development for Elian. He is the typical boring man, tough but soft for the heroine. Seb is the typical mysterious, quiet and strong. Can you introduce another character who would really pique Miranda's interest from the start please. All the stories I've ever read are about strong people getting together, kings, alphas, queens, powered individuals. What about someone ordinary but not too ordinary, someone middle class but hard-working, someone relatable? Okay ,rant over, bye...
I liked it before but her choosi g Elian made it boring pretty fast. He is too childish in front of her. It's your story though. I was hoping she'd neither choose Elian nor Sebastian but someone else. They are now too overpowered, it was getting redundant to read that they're the best at everything. Too much of a power couple is too much. Bye!...
Will there be an update soon please...
