Chapter 96 – A Turning Point in Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back by Elma Evert
In this chapter of Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back, Elma Evert introduces major changes to the story. Chapter 96 shifts the narrative tone, revealing secrets, advancing character arcs, and increasing stakes within the Romance genre.
She didn't consider herself a particularly likable person.
Otherwise, in her past life, she wouldn't have had a bunch of enemies hiring hitmen to take her down.
She wasn't exactly known for her compassion, her personality as unpredictable as the weather, and she did things entirely based on her mood.
Thankfully, while she didn't have many virtues, the few she had were enough.
Miranda said, "I'm a bit busy lately, and my herb garden needs tending. Once we're back, I'll teach you how it's done. You'll have your own lab, all the equipment you need, and you can experiment to your heart's content."
Crystal's eyes lit up at the mention.
Miranda noticed her expression and added, "Of course, you can choose not to stay with me."
Crystal was a brilliant medical student with an almost obsessive passion for pharmacology, once a rising star in the field.
She had developed a new drug, only to have her achievements stolen by her mentor, who framed her for creating a banned substance, landing her in prison. Eventually, she was transferred to Redrock Detention.
What the world didn't know was that Redrock Detention, seemingly an ordinary prison, actually housed a prison within a prison.
This inner prison held some very special inmates. Genius criminals or elite wrongdoers, they were gathered here due to their significant achievements in their respective fields.
Their eccentric personalities caused constant trouble, making them a headache for the warden.
These people were unlikely to die in prison, and upon release, they might even become industry leaders or national pillars. Some of them were already earmarked by higher-ups.
Managing this group was a nightmare until Miranda came along.
"I'll go with you," Crystal decided without hesitation.
Miranda smiled and continued driving. "The world's largest pharmaceutical company probably has a position waiting for you once you finish your sentence. You might want to reconsider."
Crystal remained firm. "I told you, I'm with you."
Miranda replied, "Doing a reality show for money."
Crystal frowned. "That's beneath you."
In her mind, academics should focus solely on their research, not seek the limelight.
Miranda was speechless. She was merely going along with the world's way of making money -how was that beneath her?
"If I don't earn money, are you going to support me?"
Crystal fell silent.
Although her latest batch of drugs fetched a decent price on the black market, who ever complained about having too much money?
Miranda was essentially starting from scratch now. Not like the old days when NexMed Labs had generations of accumulated wealth enough for her to splurge.

The readers' comments on the novel: Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back
In what world was it ever okay for people to like people who hit and punch them? Miranda deserves someone who doesn't hit people, she needs someone who commands respect through kindness, who could show her a world where people respond more to kindness. All this shows is that it's all about money. There was no character development for Elian. He is the typical boring man, tough but soft for the heroine. Seb is the typical mysterious, quiet and strong. Can you introduce another character who would really pique Miranda's interest from the start please. All the stories I've ever read are about strong people getting together, kings, alphas, queens, powered individuals. What about someone ordinary but not too ordinary, someone middle class but hard-working, someone relatable? Okay ,rant over, bye...
I liked it before but her choosi g Elian made it boring pretty fast. He is too childish in front of her. It's your story though. I was hoping she'd neither choose Elian nor Sebastian but someone else. They are now too overpowered, it was getting redundant to read that they're the best at everything. Too much of a power couple is too much. Bye!...
Will there be an update soon please...
