The man on the other end sounded less than pleased. "Alright, alright. If they've handed you the reins, go ahead and take 'em."

Lena perked up. "They said if I can boost the company's profits, they might let me oversee a few more of their ventures."

"Good on you, Lena. Once they toss a few more companies your way, you manage them well. It'll do wonders for our future. Just remember to keep an eagle eye out. Figure out what the Harrisons are really up to."

"Don't worry your pretty little head," Lena assured him, pride swelling in her chest. "We've got the Harrisons wrapped around our finger. They have no choice but to cough up what belongs to Josefina."

In that moment, Lena felt on top of the world.

Distance was merely a trivial obstacle; she was heading back to the Harrison fold!
