The Austin Arrangement novel Chapter 19

I thought the man hated me,our kisses have been like torcher to him so it seemed. But Friday night it was different. At first he was hesitant,until he kissed me that was. Everything moved so fast after that,it was like he had no control.

I noticed the parents standing by the double doors to the studio. Some of them were eyeing up my promiscuous Husband,and it wasn't just the women.

The men I'm sure envied him for being the Rich,Heartthrob that every women wanted a piece of. He could have his pick of them. I'm sure they wondered why me?

I turned towards the kids."Okay,That's it for today. You Guys did amazing."

I guess I'm going to have this talk with Jeremy,there's no avoiding him now.

I was helping the kids pack up to leave,while Jeremy was standing to the side of the room out of the way.This is probably the first time the man has been around a kid,it was obvious that this was new territory.

Addie walked towards Jeremy."Is this man your husband,Mrs Austin?"

I looked at Jeremy,noticing how uncomfortable he was over the situation. Then I looked back at Addie."Yes,This is my Husband Jeremy."

She looked Jeremy up and down,from his designer shoes to his dark hair."He's very tall."

I guess that's one noticeable thing about him,he's quite a bit taller than I am. I giggled."He sure is."

I glanced towards the door as I heard Addie's Mom calling her."Your Mom is waiting to take you home."

She looked at me and smiled."See you next week,Mrs Austin."Addie ran across the floor with her little pink bag around her shoulder.

All the kids had left the studio and it was just Jeremy and I alone..Alone for the first time since our incident and now we have no choice but to have the uncomfortable conversation.

Where do we start..Why do I even say to him?

"So this is your studio?"

"Well it isn't exactly mine,I don't own it unfortunately. I rent the studio for classes Monday,Thursday and Friday."I crossed my arms over my chest in awkwardness.

Jeremy has never wanted to exchange small talk up until now.

"Look,What happened Friday night shouldn't have happened.

Alissa shouldn't have asked you to stay."He sighed."She never should have initiated it."

I hesitated a second."You mean she never should have initiated things between us?"

It's not as if the man hasn't had his sexual urges fulfilled lately,every Friday I leave and he does what he wants with all different women.

He doesn't have an excuse for his loss of self control.

He released an audible sigh."I'm a Man,Vanessa.You two were kissing and removing each others clothes,What did you really expect to happen?"

"Sexual frustration is the reason you kissed me the way you did."

I shrugged my shoulders."It's fine,Jeremy. I know It shouldn't have happened. I didn't want that kiss,just like you didn't."

"This arrangement between us is complicated enough as it is,Let's not make things worse by making a thing out of this."

He looked down at the expensive watch on his wrist."This dinner with my parents is in 45 minutes,Are you coming?"

I had started the tidying up around the room since class was finished."I'll be there."

"You have you car with you,Right?

I'll meet you at my Parents place. I don't want to be late,you know how my mother can get."

I glanced at him,as I stacked the chairs lined up against the walls. "Actually my car is at Natasha's,I walked here."

"You walked?"His brows snapped together,in confusion

How the hell am I going to explain this to him? There's no way I can lie my way of it that's for sure.

I'm going to have to tell him the truth and hope that he doesn't judge me by the choices I've made.

"Okay."I sighed,unable to look at him I was so ashamed. Instead I looked down at my feet."It's all a lie. Jeremy and I had an Arranged Marriage,our life together is a lie."

It felt liberating to actually say it aloud,to have someone know the truth about what's going on in my life.

Now I have some explaining to do,with very little time to do it.

"An Arranged Marriage..Wow."He combed his fingers through his hair.

Alex looked at me folding his arms over his chest."I thought it was odd that you fell for a man like Jeremy so quick,especially after you know who."

"After Him!!"

Him!! That's what I've called him all this time.The others know that I don't like to use his name,I don't lie to hear it.

"Vanessa."Jeremy called from the door to the studio.He was looking pissed that I was keeping him waiting.

He looked between Alex and I."We should get going if we want to be there in time."

"Coming."I grabbed my things,and realised that I still hadn't changed but I doubt he will wait.

I looked at Alex."I need to go,we have dinner plans with Jeremy's parents."

He placed his hand on my upper arm and looked at me."We need to talk about this more. Call me later,we can meet."

"Okay,I'll call you"I walked out of the studio and Jeremy followed behind me. Alex knows my secret now,I just hope he keeps it to himself.
