Noah gave a cold chuckle. He tapped his phone, sending the voice recording he’d just made straight to Darcy. Then he said loudly, “Darcy, you heard all that, right? It’s not that I don’t want to work with you, but your two men here? They’re a real disappointment.”

Borg and Cedric froze, eyes wide. The little brat had played them—he’d secretly recorded everything and sent it to Darcy.

A second later, both Borg and Cedric’s phones started ringing at the same time.

They scrambled to answer. On the other end, Darcy’s furious roar nearly burst their eardrums. “You two idiots! Have you lost your minds? Who told you you could run wild and cross me?!”

Borg’s face went white. He stammered, “Darcy, I… we didn’t—”

Cedric was so terrified he couldn’t manage a word.

Borg and Cedric replied in unison, “Yes, Darcy—”

They looked at the four kids, resentment burning in their eyes.
