Ethan grinned, flexing his fingers eagerly. “Finally! Does this mean I get to teach him a lesson?”

Cedric threw back his head and laughed. “You? Please! The lot of you put together barely reach my knees, and you think you can take me? Even with Darcy on your side, you really think I’m scared?”

He rolled up his sleeves, ready to give Cedric a piece of his mind.

Cedric wasn’t about to back down either. There was no way he’d let some brat get the better of him. He clenched his fists, eyes blazing.

Just then, Borg checked the time and muttered, “Cedric, we’re out of time. The Thomsons will be here any minute, and these kids are obviously just stalling, waiting for the cavalry to arrive.”

A flicker of panic crossed Borg’s face. If the Thomsons showed up, they’d be in real trouble.

Ethan smirked and raised an eyebrow. “Took you long enough to figure that out, genius. But don’t you think it’s a bit late now?”
