Tiffany froze for a moment before she finally understood what he meant.

After finishing her preparations, Tiffany headed to the courthouse. She remained busy until late afternoon, and when she finally walked out, a black G-Wagon was parked at the entrance.

The man behind the wheel had striking, well-defined features.

"Need a ride back to the firm?" Raymond asked.

"I already called a car."

Her own car was at the dealership for maintenance and wouldn't be ready until the next day.

"Cancel it."

"Raymond, you're really exhausting," she grumbled.

"I know." Raymond did not deny it. "Just get in."

Tiffany fell silent for a few seconds. Knowing she wouldn't outlast him, she opened the rear door and got in.

Raymond glanced at her through the rearview mirror, then pressed the accelerator and pulled away.

The black G-Wagon arrived at the building in no time.

Raymond remained in the car until Tiffany disappeared upstairs, then turned around and drove off.

"Tiffany, let's talk," he said.

"Something wrong?" she asked.

"I'm going to pursue you."

Raymond met her gaze directly. "It's different now."

Tiffany acted as though she hadn't heard him. She walked past him, unlocked her door, stepped inside, and shut it behind her in one smooth motion.
