"If you're paying, fine, but did it have to be at 9:00 p.m.?" Walking behind him, Julian checked his watch. "Sydney's still home waiting for me."

"What's wrong with nine? You used to take meetings until dawn," Raymond argued.

"That was before. Things are different now," Julian shot back.

"Fine. We'll have a drink and leave."

As they spoke, they rounded a corner. Ahead, a server carried drinks into a private room, and voices drifted through the open door.

"Tiffany, is it? If you don't drink this glass today, your firm can forget about getting any business from Ristar next year. I mean every word of that."

"Mr. Chopard, I'll say it again. Please show some respect," Tiffany said coldly.

Raymond's expression darkened. He strode past the server and pushed the door open. Julian raised an eyebrow but stayed outside.

Inside, Raymond's sudden entrance drew every eye in the room.

The moment Giovanni saw him, the anger vanished from his face. He hurried over with a broad smile. "Mr. Hutton, what brings you here? I've never had the chance to pay you a visit, and now we run into each other—"

"Move." Raymond's voice was cold and sharp, his gaze fixed on Tiffany. "Sit down."

Tiffany looked at him but didn't move.

"Sit." His tone had softened slightly.

Tiffany sat back down.

Raymond then turned to Giovanni.

Giovanni forced a smile. The corners of his mouth trembled. "Mr. Hutton—"

"You just said that if she doesn't drink, you'll make sure her firm gets none of Ristar's business?" Raymond asked.

His voice was quiet, yet everyone in the room heard him clearly.

Giovanni wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Mr. Hutton, this is a misunderstanding. Miss Voss and I were only joking."

If he still couldn't see that Raymond and Tiffany were connected, then all his years in business had been for nothing.

Raymond looked at him. "Are you in charge of the new energy project between Ristar and our company?"
