Oceans POV

"How do you find everything so far?" Trevor asks as he sits next to me for lunch.

"It's great. Much better than I expected, especially since you did not even warn me that I was about to meet your parents," I playfully glared at him and he gives me a sheepish smile.

"They love you," he whispers and I smile, looking down at my food.

"I think I may love them too." At that moment I look up to find Miriam who was right across the room, giving me an adoring look. And I know for sure she didn't hear what I had said, so it must've been for something else.

The first dish comprised of just pasta which was dressed in cheese sauce. It was delicious, and could even be considered restaurant quality.

"Who taught you how to cook?" I question Miriam and she grins.

"You like it? My mother was always a firm believer in the roles of a wife. I was cooking three-course meals by the age of 10."

I was still learning the difference between trainers, push-ups, padded and normal bras at the age of ten.

"That's really impressive." I nod and Aloria rolls her eyes.

I stare at her a little longer, a little confused as to why her attitude would change now. Everyone sat and ate, having light conversation.

I moved my attention to Meo, who was cracking up with his brother Matteo.

Matteo only seemed to smile around his family, he hasn't once acknowledged me with anything more than a skeptical look and a curt nod.

I thought lunch was over until the maids brought out huge, thoroughly cooked steaks with a side of salad and vinaigrette.

"Um?" I look at Trevor.

"Oh," he chuckles. "A typical Italian lunch consists of a first-course il primo (pasta, rice or similar), a second-course il secondo (meat or fish) served together with a side dish il contorno (vegetable or salad) and fruit." (Thanks Google!)

"You have got to be kidding me," I whisper and he pats my back.

"You'll never be hungry in this house."

I need to find a gym.

I couldn't finish the entire steak although I'm pretty sure I devoured a watermelon and a half.

Richard found it hilarious that I didn't have an appetite like theirs, and laughed when I groaned from a stomach ache.

Emma and Mia also snickered slightly but admitted that when their mother wasn't looking they'd throw some meat onto their brother's plate.

I was now plopped onto the bed, trying to calm my aching stomach. Everyone was doing what they had to do, whether it was washing the dishes, or sitting at the pool, or just relaxing in their room.

It was a calm atmosphere.

Even Richard and Miriam sat on the other side of the house, on the white sanded beach together.

I had about an hour until I had to go out with Meo, and I really hoped I would have such a heavy stomach by then.

My phone vibrated to life after I finally charged it. And then it kept vibrating.

I frown and made myself to it.

I had about three messages from Rasco and a few notifications.

I opened Rasco's messages.

Greetings Ms. Devila, I think it would interest you that I met with someone who claims to know about the victim. Mr. Dain white.

Hope to receive a reply or a call soon,

I checked the time and decided that I should probably start getting ready, so I stood and made my way to the bathroom.

After taking care of my hygiene, the sun was going down so I decided to dress accordingly.

I wore a pretty yellow off-shoulder that had white arms, and a light blue ripped jeans that were low cut showing off my little pudge.

"I'll see you later?" I try with Trevor but he simply hums.

I roll my eyes. Whatever then.

I open the door and walk downstairs. Meo wasn't overly it dressed which I was thankful for, he had black jeans and a casual black button-up.

"Dove vai fratello? Sembri piuttosto forte." Lorenzo says, and Meo smirks.

(Where are you going, brother? You look pretty sharp.)

"Da nessuna parte, sto solo per mostrare Ocean in giro," Meo replied with a soft shrug while shoving his hands in his pocket.

(Nowhere special, I'm just going to show Ocean around.)

Niccoli raises his eyebrow, folding his arms and leaning on the wall. "Stai cercando di sollevare qualche problema, giusto? Sai che Trevor portarla qui non è solo per affari amichevoli. lei è sua." From Meo's expression, he didn't like what was said to him, and I didn't want him to be in a foul mood when we went out so I decided to step in then and there.

(You're trying to raise some issues, right? You know Trevor bringing her here isn't just for business. She's his.)

"Oh hey, Ocean," Lorenzo smirks. "You look lovely."

"Thanks, Lorenzo." I smile before turning to Meo while the others stared at us.

He stretches out his hand and I take it while he leads me outside to the waiting vehicle.

I could swear I heard Matteo say that Meo was signing his death wish, but I couldn't be bothered. I just wanted to see more of this beautiful place.
