"Spit!"

Margaret spat at Amelia, her voice full of venom. "You’re a liar, Amelia! You’re living in a dream!"

She had once treated Amelia like her best friend, but now Amelia had betrayed her in the most cruel way.

"Ah!"

Amelia immediately feigned hurt, her eyes welling up as she turned and threw herself into William's arms. "William, look at her!"

"Margaret, you must want to die!"

William’s rage exploded as he pressed his leather shoe hard against Margaret’s frostbitten hand.

"Ah!!!"

"Please! Stop! It hurts!!!"

But it seemed that wasn’t enough to satisfy Amelia’s vengeance. William’s face was cold, and he kicked Margaret several times, before finally planting his foot on her cheek. His voice was icy and commanding. "Apologize to Amelia!"

Margaret spat blood, the intense pain shaking her body and making her voice tremble.

Her eyes were red, her body wracked with pain, but she refused to apologize to Amelia. "She doesn’t deserve it!"

"Margaret, do you want to die?!"

William’s face darkened, his gaze burning with fury as he pressed harder on her face. The pressure was so great that Margaret’s face began to distort, blood pooling on the cold tiles beneath her.

Margaret gritted her teeth, her voice hoarse yet defiant. "She... doesn’t... deserve it!"

"William, Amelia lied to you! You’re healed because of the medicine... It wasn’t Amelia’s doing!"

"Enough!"

William roared, cutting off Margaret’s words one by one.

His chest heaved with rage, his fists clenched tightly as he finally kicked Margaret aside, her blood staining the floor.

"I want to see how long you can stay stubborn. From now on, don’t expect to eat a single bite until you apologize to Amelia, kneeling and begging her for forgiveness!"

With those words, William turned gently to Amelia, taking her hand and leading her upstairs.

Benjamin agreed to help her.

As they walked toward the parking lot, just before getting into the car, Margaret was suddenly grabbed by William's bodyguards and dragged back to the engagement scene.

William’s face was dark as he looked at her coldly. "Margaret, you’re leaving without even saying goodbye?"

Margaret looked at the lipstick mark on his cheek left by Amelia, and her heart clenched with pain. What was the point of staying?

She forced a smile. "Since you brought me back, I guess I should wish you both a happy marriage."

The air was thick with tension.

"Happy marriage, huh?"

William suddenly exploded, his gaze icy as he glared at Benjamin. "Found a new man already?"

At this point, Margaret no longer cared to explain. She simply looked at William, saying her final goodbye in her heart.

Yes, William. You will never see me again.
