Mr. Hayward caught the implication. "Then tell us, Noah, who might this third party be?"
Before Noah could respond, Andre spoke up. "You certainly know an awful lot about Golden Top, Mr. Hayward."
Mr. Hayward froze.
The entire room fell dead silent. It was true—Mr. Hayward knew way too much.
These were internal matters of another company that had absolutely nothing to do with him. How could he possibly know such specific details?
Combined with Noah's earlier comment, everyone in the room suddenly understood exactly what was going on.
Still, a tiny startup like Golden Top wasn't worth offending a giant like Horizon Technologies.

Mr. Hayward awkwardly smoothed things over, and the moment passed.
Over at Maplewood Estates.
"Mia, call my dad!" Henry urged.
"You want him to pick something up for you?" Mia asked.
Henry nodded vigorously.
"Forget it. Whatever you're craving, I'll order delivery. Your dad would never bring us junk food."
Henry lay on his stomach on the sofa, leaning his little face close to the screen as Mia opened a food delivery app. A bunch of mouth-watering photos popped up. "I want this one!" His little hand tapped the screen. "And this one! Mia, is that a sandwich?"
"It's a pan-fried bun, you little goofball."
The little goofball stood barefoot on the sofa, wrapping his arms around his mother's neck as they continued browsing. The mother-son duo was perfectly in sync when it came to food; they never disagreed.
"Henry, should we try these roasted rice cakes?"
Henry nodded and pointed at another picture. "What's that? I want that too!"
