Christian agreed to wait for me to take over as Alpha until Tiana’s birthday. However, my birthday was quite the celebration. I’d been so busy, I hadn’t realized that Tiana, Enya, and Alpha Christina had planned a huge party for me.

When I woke up on the morning of my birthday, cured around Tiana like I am every morning now, her scent had made me nearly wild with desire. She’d laughed when I’d woken her, my mouth all over her before sliding inside her and claiming her body as mine. My canines had extended, and I’d buried them in her shoulder. “And how has the pack accepted you, Cassie?” Tiana asked her. I know this has been weighing heavily on her mind. We haven’t announced anything to the pack, waiting to make sure that it’s official. Tiana has been here all week, but so has Enya, so the pack hasn’t thought anything of it.

“It’s been a transition, but they see how happy we are together, so they’ve accepted me pretty easily,” Cassie says.

The week between our birthdays was just as busy as our first week back from the Academy. This time, we were planning my Alpha ceremony and planning for Christian and Enya to leave. Behind the scenes, I had Enya and Alpha Christina preparing Tiana’s birthday party while Christian and Alpha Sebastian helped to keep me grounded.
