Isabella's POV

Hearing him say that made my heart dance in joy and made my mind freeze in shock. How could someone fall in love so quickly. Devon and I have only known each other for less than a week and he's already in love with me.

As much as I'm happy to hear him say that,a part of me is saying that he is only saying this because he's vulnerable. This is not how he actually feels,his emotions are all over the place due to his grief.

He is only asking me on a date as a distraction for his grief and that hurts.

"You don't have to say anything back. I just wanted you to know." He gently said while squeezing my hands in his.

Sending him a small smile,I was saved by Daniella," Hey, you two." She greeted while yawning and stretching her muscles. This girl is my hero.

"Daddy." Turning towards the direction of the source of the sound,we were met with Sophie as she walked towards Devon while yawning.

"Hey Baby." He gently said, putting her on his lap and kissing her cheek.

"Why are you back so early?" Asked Daniella as she sat on the one seater couch.

"I got in early today and the office wasn't busy,so I decided to come home early,besides I wanted to spend some time with my family." He said kissing Sophie's forehead and surprisingly she had fallen back to sleep.

"I'll take Sophie back to bed." Said Daniella already standing up.

"Daniella,you know you can't do that. You are pregnant and pregnant women don't go around carrying heavy things or people for that matter." I sternly told her.

"Isa,I get your concern,but I am pregnant not broken." She said with rebellion in her voice,already walking to take Sophie from Devon.

"Daniella..." Started Devon before he was cut off by Daniella's glare.

Just like that the pregnant woman had won leaving Devon and I alone in silence.

Standing up I sent Devon a smile before going to check on Daniella.

The rest of the week past by quickly with me getting closer to Daniella and of course Sophie. We spent our days having fun and just getting to know each other better.

Devon and I are also on good terms. We talk to each other without any awkwardness,though I've put up some barriers to avoid getting hurt.

Now I am in my room with Megs preparing for my date with Devon.

Devon's POV

"Thanks for staying to look after Soph for me,Ella." I said while making sure my hair was okay.

"Blaine must be missing you like crazy by now." I said looking at her with a knowing smile.

She laughed obviously knowing that I'm right." As if you knew. He's been calling me like crazy. He's demanding that I come home tomorrow,but I will do anything to help my brother win his mate's heart,which I have a feeling won't take long nor will be difficult." She said with a smirk and a wink.

"Thanks Sis." I said hugging her as best as I could with her big stomach.

"You better go before you're late. I'll see you later and don't forget to invite Isabella and her sister to the BBQ next week Saturday." She said standing up and most likely going to the kitchen.

I was left behind chuckling at my sister's actions."Daniella,take it easy and call me if anything happens or if you need something,okay?"I sternly told her as I walked into the kitchen to find her stuffing her face with crisps.

"I hope you don't mind that I brought you to a sea food restaurant?" I asked her.

"No,it's okay. I am a fan of sea food after all." She said with a grin as she sent me a wink.

~Wow is our mate cute.We're definitely lucky to have her as our second mate~ he said with adoration and I couldn't agree even more with Jace.

"Good evening,my name is Mike and I'll be your waiter this evening. May I start with your drinks?" He asked pulling out his notebook and pen.

"Your best non-alcoholic beverage." I said unsettled that we have a male waitor.

"And you,Miss?" He asked with a polite smile.

"I'll have the same drink as him,please?" She asked with an adorable smile.

~Our mate will be the death of us~ said Jace in a love sick voice.

"Jace are you going soft?" I asked him with a mental smirk. ~For our mate,yes~ he answered in the same voice.'My mate is dangerous' I mentally chuckled.

"So tell me about Devon Black." Said Isabella with her hands probbed on the table with her face in them.'adorable'.

"Well I am a triplet and I have a younger brother. I am a family man and I work in construction." I said as I took off my suit jacket.

"What?! I can't believe you're a triplet,that's so awesome. That means you were never lonely when growing up. I take it Daniella is your triplet sister...okay okay go on." She said with enthusiasm and curiousity obviously.
