The Beta's second chance mate novel Chapter 9

"Hey Soph, I've missed you so so so much." She said kissing her cheek and giving her a bear hug.

"I've missed you too,Aunt Dani." She said while grinning excitedly.

"How about we do some catching up at the mall? We could do some shopping and we definitely will buy some delicious food." Said Daniella matching Sophie's excitement.

"Yayyyy, can we Daddy, can we?" Asked Sophie with her cute puppy dog eyes on display, knowing that I couldn't say no to them.

"Yeah" I sighed, taking my car and house keys from the kitchen bowl. "Lets go" I said as I opened the door for the ladies.

When we got to the car I opened the door for Daniella then placed Sophie into her car seat in the backseat.

"We are going to the mall." I heard Sophie sing as I got into the driver's seat and pulled out of the driveway.

I pressed the remote to open the gate and we were on our way to the mall.

"So how's Blaine?" I asked my sister.

Blaine is Daniella's mate and the Alpha of the Lakeson Pack, which also happens to be our neighbouring pack.

"He's fine, just busy is all." Said Daniella before releasing a sigh of contentment.

Looking at her I saw that she had her eyes closed and was facing upwards.

"Sooo, Dani... I found my mate." I quickly rushed out.

"What!" Yelled Daniella which made me almost lose control of the car.

"Daniella, please try to restrict yourself from yelling while I'm driving, I would love to grow with my daughter and mate." I said as I gripped the steering for dear life and sent Daniella a little glare.

"Yeah yeah,so how did that happen? I thought that Isla was your mate. Let me rephrase that I knew that Isla was your mate." Said Daniella with her eyes now on me.

"Yeah, Isla was, however, it seems like I have a second mate. We both know that this happens as rare as it is. The same things that I felt for Isla I feel for Isabella." I said while gripping the steering wheel tightly and looking towards the road.

"Congratulations, I'm happy for you, Devon. You and Sophie deserve happiness. You deserve someone to love and who will love you back and Sophie deserves to have a mother." Said Daniella with a small smile and a teary gaze.

"Anyway, when will I get to meet her?" Asked Daniella very excited about the idea of having a new girl friend.

Chuckling I responded "Ella, she's human." I gently said so that she could grasp this new information through her excitement.

"Fine, I'll wait." Said Daniella with a pout and her arms crossed.

I tried to hold myself from laughing, really I did, but the look on her face was hilarious. I couldn't hold myself any longer the laughter just burst out of me.

"You know, I sometimes just can't believe that you are a Luna, Ella. The things you do and the way that you sometimes act is just so...wow." I said as I tried to calm down.

"Oh, just shut up." She said sticking her tongue out at me with her arms still crossed.

"Okay, we're here." I said as I parked the car and killed the engine.

After getting out of the car I opened the door for Daniella then I closed it after her. I then opened the backseat door and found a sleeping Sophie, boy was she adorable I'm lucky to have her as my daughter. Sophie means the world to me.

"Soph, Baby time to wake up." I said gently shaking my daughter.

"Well, time to do some shopping until we drop! Then we can do the best part and go eat." Said Daniella already walking towards the doors.

"Same old, same old Daniella" I mumbled under my breath as I chuckled.

When I looked over at Daniella I had a feeling that she was thinking of the same thing and I was proven correctly when she sent me a knowing look.

"Hey Daniella,how about you and I take Sophie for some ice-cream?" I asked her.

"Gladly." She answered, linking arms with me." Lets go Soph." She said as the the three of us left.Daniella and I wearing the same goofy looks on our faces and Sophie was excited for her ice-cream,so basically we were a happy bunch.

Isabella's POV

Megan,why did you leave me alone with him.

"Bella,are you okay?" Asked Devon with worry etched on his face. He looked handsome even with a frown on his face.

Giving him the most convincing smile I could master I answered," Yeah,I'm great."

"Are you sure?" He asked clearly concerned.

Please stop being so friendly. How will I stop these crazy feelings if you keep on being so nice to me.

"Yeah." I answered,sending him a genuine soft smile.

Thankfully he didn't ask anymore questions after that. We had small talks as we searched for the others,but otherwise nothing major.

When we found the others,we bid each other good bye before going our seperate ways.

By the time Megan and I got home,my stomach was full and my feet were killing me. My arms were filled with my shopping bags as were Megs.

I took a relaxing bath that night before Megs and I sat in the living room and watched a couple of movies before I went to bed.
