Reaching our spot, Cooper and Jayden almost choked on their spit.
"Damn-" I stopped Jayden.
"Shut your face, Quinn." He covered his mouth with his hand while Cooper stood their shocked.
"Just one question," Cooper started, "why?"
"one word: Sienna." He widened his eyes in disbelief. "But don't worry, I'm changing now." I looked at Evie and we made our way to the bathroom.
On the way there, we ran into two people who I had never seen before at our school. Evie and I stopped.
"Wait a minute, you guys go here?" I asked looking back and forth between them.
"I was just about to ask the same thing to you," Flynn stated.
"I knew I had seen you before but I completely forgot it was at school. So apparently we go to the same school," he stated finally realizing what I am wearing, "and you're dressed like a Malibu Barbie doll...why?"
I stood in shock at what he said. "A. I'm curious as to why you know what that is and B. my sister picked it out, I'm about to go change now." I held up my other bag.
"I mean, shit..." He dragged, "I wouldn't mind if you stayed in that all day," he checked me out.
"Go ahead and take it all in Murray, the next time you'll see me wearing this is in your dreams." I rolled my eyes, smirked and walked off. I glanced at Evie and she had her eyes wide open in shock.
Behind me I heard "Shit...I'm cool with that too." and a light laugh. I shook my head as we walked into the bathroom. I looked at Evie once again and this time her her mouth was open so wide that I'm pretty sure you could fit a basketball in her mouth.
Since the handicap stall door was broken, I had Evie hold it for me while i changed. I pulled out my all white overalls, a black crop t-shirt, a pair of black high tops and slipped all of that on, rolling up my pant legs a little so the hightops would sit right. I knocked on the stall door informing Evie that I was done.
"Ah, much better." I said clipping one side of my overalls so they'd stay up. I put a pair of studs in my second hole and a pair of silver hoops in my first. I laid my silver chain on my neck and put my apple watch on that stacked with my three silver bracelets on my wrist. I finished by putting my rings on and putting the purse and the rest of the clothes into my spare bag.
"done?" Evie looked at me through the mirror as I finished zipping up my bag. Nodding I tossed the bag over my shoulder so I could place it in my locker. We walked out and passed the boys again. I did a quick spin so Chase could see my new outfit.
"Nice fit, Stone," he complimented.
I smiled. "Thank you," I said continuing to walk to my locker.
"Remind me to never trust Jayden again when he says 'don't worry, it'll be fun'." I claimed shaking my head.
Evie laughs and then grabs my arm, guiding me to the lunch line. "Is Ms. Wolfe here today?" I asked Evie. She sniffed around and then opened her eyes.
"Yup, backroom. Coming out...now." Running up to the entrance, Ms. Wolfe saw us and embraced us in a bone crushing hug.
"Hello my babies!" She greeted. "I'm so sorry I missed your birthday, Briar! Work kept me here longer than I thought." She sniffed around. "What's that smell?"
I slowly raised my hand. "It's probably me."
"Wait. What happened last night?" She gave us a hard look.
"Maybe we shouldn't talk about this around, everyone." Evie pressed.
"Oh. Um...Where are the boys?" We pointed to the table. "Stay." She demanded and we stood in our place. She walked over and whispered something in their ears. They nodded and stood up, following Ms. Wolfe. "Come." We all followed her one-by-one to the back room. "One of you explain to me why Briar smells Like Nature and blood instead of sweets and flowers like a regular female is supposed to smell like?"
Jayden and Cooper shoved their hands in their pockets, avoiding eye contact. Jayden actually turned to face the door so he wouldn't be tempted.
